It is the supermarkets person picking up the things people have ordered online, they take over the isle, very ruderly push in front of customers, have there zapper wire across the customers and they seem to be so many of them. Why cant they do it in the stock room?

Supermarkets don't usualy have stock rooms these days.

How about people talking loudly on their mobile phones? "There is no fresh tarragon darling - what should I do?"
Do whatever you would have done before you had a mobile phone!

Also, when a member of staff is having a chat with a colleague or a customer who is obviously a friend, why do I fee guilty interrupting to ask a question?

... But, on the subject of customers..

People who block the aisles to have a chat. Fine, it happens, but when you see someone coming towards you, smiling and saying 'excuse me', please shift to the side rather than give them a dirty look and carry on chatting.

People who push in front of you at the deli counter. Even worse than the ones who've simply not noticed that you're waiting are the old bints who have the cheek to say 'you don't mind if I go ahead of you, do you?'. YES, I DO! Get to the back of the queue, grandma!

People shouting at their kids. Actually, your kids' behaviour is far less irritating than your continued shouting at them to behave. If you find shopping with your kids stressful, why have you treated it like a day out and brought the whole family along? I can see your gormless husband stood next to you staring at the beans - leave him at home with the kids next time.

People who push their trolleys into the backs of your ankles. It really hurts. Watch where you're !!!!ing going!

Old people - enough said. At your age, you probably don't even need to eat any more - stay at home!

Couples who both go to busy supermarkets with their children - why?

Mum can't drive and the big weekly shop needs done so dad drives. Dad can't be trusted to do a decent MSE shop though, so mum has to go. At this point any sane woman would dispatch OH to take the kids off for a run round the park or leave him and the kids in the car with the paper and the in-car DVD player while she does the shopping in a quarter of the time. But this doesn't seem to happen in some families, no idea why.

My most hated moment is when I see a specific pair of women in the shop and know they're going to be doing their aggressive tag-team assault on the Reduced section, complete with trolley barricade, swearing at any other customer that dares touch anything on the shelf they might want and bullying the junior member of staff to reduce everything they want further. I don't often feel the red mist descending in Tesco and I really am not the sort of person who indulges in unseemly brawls in the aisles for the sake of 40p off a pack of chops, but sometimes I feel my cavewoman instincts stirring, you know? Fight off the competitors! Grab the food animal! I generally have to go and look at shampoo or washing powder till the urge passes,
    Val.

My pet hate is supermarkets who think shoppers are clueless and gullible enough to be easily conned. All those so called special deals and offers they make available, when by using some basic math and applying common sense you can buy the same thing cheaper. It has been going on for years, my dad taught me how to not fall for such gimmicks from a young age.

I find it annoying when people stand chatting, blocking the aisles then get all aggressive and mightily put out, when all you have done is politely asked to go past.

The inane chat that the check out staff try to engage you in at times can be tedious too. I do find it difficult though to make small talk with people I dont know, so maybe it is just me that struggles with that.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

Me too. Although when I think they've possibly been sat there 9 hours, they may just need a 'small talk' chat to make them feel sane.

Staff that don't understand the legal age for alcohol. The think 25 system is for the staff member to consider if someone looks over 25 and if not ID them.

I was asked if I was over 25, to which I said no I'm 24, and then he said, "Okay, as you're not over 25 I need some ID." !!!!!!?!
