Sometimes I have also seen a fat woman walking around eating something when shopping alone.

    HATE IT.

Do you only hate it when they're fat?

Why not tell yourself they might be diabetic or feel a migraine coming on so they need to eat to stay well.

I find life is much more pleasant when you give people the benefit of the doubt and don't sweat the small stuff that has no actual impact on you whatsoever.

Couples who both go to busy supermarkets with their children - why?

This drives me mad as well, I go to the supermarket alone whenever possible, I just don't get the people who view it as a whole family thing.

Walking into a shop and having my ears bombarded with pop music. I turn straight around and walk out. Why doesn't anybody appreciate Mozart these days? :rotfl:
  • I hate it when you're carrying a basket that's breaking your arm. You get to the checkout and the person in front spreads the five items they are buying neatly out on the conveyor belt a foot apart so there's no room for you to put yours on.

I hate shopping full stop - everything irritates me.

I did once retaliate against a woman in the checkout queue who thought it was OK to repeatedly shove her trolley into the small of my back by giving said trolley a swift back-kick......silly woman was winded to say the least. :o

The whole '25 and over' ID system as they just try and guess my age!! Its not a quiz show! Just ask for ID if I clearly look so young or if I look bloody old then dont ask me! (Im 26) but they just squint up at my face trying to work out what year of the 80's I was born in.

Couples who shop with 4 kids in tow !!!!!! cant one parent stay home with them for an hour??

Old people who complain about how busy it is when shopping on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm

People who cant queue on the self service checkouts and push in

People who take a WHOLE trolley stuffed to the brim to the self service and take 15 minutes plus to scan it all, they should ban trolleys from them (unless its just one huge item you cant carry)

    Phew :rotfl:

    I presume its for socialisation.

Its harder to teach them how to behave in public if they're never taken out in public!

Children are people too DR. ;)

I don't think thats the reason at all - if my OH was home, I'd go shopping and he'd look after DD. Theres nothing very sociable about food shopping - as has been seen on this thread, its just a breeding ground of stress and irritation :).
  • I'm with you Norma - shopping is my pet hate! Take my trip to supermarket today. I was already on the edge after a busy morning with DS but I had to pick up a few bits and the SM is my nearest shop. Had no choice to take my 3 yr old and tbh although he is lovely and fab at walking, he runs off if you lrt go of him for a millisecond and believe me he is fast and will grab anything so no choice to take the buggy.
It is vey difficult pushing a buggy whilst holding a basket so when some stupid woman stands stock still to talk on her mobile in the middle of an aisle, there really is not a lot of room for manoeuvre(sp). Did she move?Did she hell, alright love I've got all bloody day! Then there were trollies at awkward angles in aisles, people cutting me up, LO must have been picking up on my jangled nerves as at one point he was shouting "go away please" at the other shoppers! So embarrassing, but at least he said please:).

After years of weekday shopping, I've started doing it on a Saturday now. Although it's busier, I get through much faster because everyone else wants to get it done and get on with their weekend. The problem with weekday shopping is that so often you're held up by people who are there just to get out of the house and chat to everyone, so take their time, wander off without their trolleys and spend as long as possible talking to the cashiers.
