I went to kings court in dundonald (beside the maxol station) two nights ago (after using tesco clubcard deals for indiana land :T). The service was amazing - very patient with the three, rather rowdy, kids and free refills of tea, extra crackers, brought extra plates/bowls/spoons and napkins for kids without us asking etc. We went for high tea - 3 course meal for £9.50 - got two and it filled the five of us nicely. Its byob (winemark next door), with varying corkage - at lunch its 50p for beer per head, wine was £1 per head. it was triple that at dinner time. dont know if thats reasonable or not, since ive never been to a byob before!

Ill very very rarely be near there again as I live in carrick but will go again if I have the chance. They also do takeaway, which was pretty busy.

Donegans restaurant in Bangor has been a good spot for good food in the past
  • Flicks, Yorkgate. Wife & I went tonight Tue 29th April/08. (3rd visit now). Great place. Food was outstanding as always, as was the excellent & friendly service. I agree with Bigcammy's comment above = The Combo Starter for 2. We absolutely loved every piece and it was a very generous portion for 2.

We got served right away, delivery was pretty fast that I thought the food was going to be a little cold. But it was beautiful.

Then came the main courses. I had Cajun chicken which was so tender and tasty, albeit had a very spicey kick in it. This came with salsa sauce. My wife had Chicken Tempura which was also beautiful - with a sweet chilli dip. We also had garlic wedges which were outstanding. The service throughout by both waitresses was top quality and I'd certainly recommend this clean, small American Diner type place - to anyone, couples or parties.

So handy too that you can almost simply fall out the door and into your cinema seats, as they're right beside each other within Yorkgate (upstairs).

Looking forward to going back with the kids the next time, as we noticed a great kids menu, with `Kids Sirloin Steak` etc etc. Brilliant !!!!!!! :T :money:

Had lunch last Sunday in Table Table Lisburn. Food very disappointing. Meat scarce and fatty. Won't be back. It was grand during the weekdays I have been. Not enough staff either.
2p or not 2p? That is the question!
  • Has anybody ever tried Jasmine in Ballyhackamore? What is it like?

Should also add, don't eat in Bar Seven Live in the Odyssey. We went there over the summer, service was poor, food not very good and the waitress brought us over a bottle of vinegar that had several small flies floating in it. I showed it to her, she went and spoke to the manager who didn't ven bother coming over to apologise and ignored us. Contacted them by email when I got home, got an email from general manager of the bar upstairs saying he'd sent it on to his colleague and yet 4 months later I'm still waiting for a reply. Charming.

You should write a review on Tripadvisor. I have and it makes a difference

I wouldnt bother, Bar 7 Live closed a long time ago and turned into the Laughter Lounge, and the main bar 7 upstairs closed down when the Odyssey Pavillion went into administration around June or July time. Along with the bowling, Bar Budda and Soda Joes, the Odyssey is slowly becming a bit of a white elephant. Thanks heavens for Pizza Hut, Red Panda, Indian Ocean and W5!!!
