Springsteens also on Botanic, loads of food at reasonable price.
the best Springsteens is on the lisburn road. I love the one in bot but it can be hit and miss...:santa2:0 -
The Bokhara in Holywood is lovely for Indian food and I will second the recommendation for the Water Margin for Chinese - very child friendly (although not the colouring book/ ballons variety) - but they take children seriously.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Mourne Seafood Bar, Bank Street Belfast (down the entry between Primark & Tesco, beside Kelly's Cellars)
Oh I'll second that and add the original Mourne Seafood Bar in Dundrum, absolutely mouthwatering.
The Water Margin in Donegall Pass is beautiful, so is the one in Holywood (and the views are amazing)Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -

The original Mourne seafood bar in Dundrum would get my vote over the new one in pond life street city centre. Same food same wine but cheaper. " We can charge more in BELFAST" was the reply to the obvious question.
Both Water Margins serve excellent food0 -

I would have though higher overheads might have something to do with it too. Rent, rates etc will be higher for a business located in Belfast City Centre than one located in the back of beyond (no offence to Dundrum dwellers intended; I'm from the !!!!-end of nowhere myself)

I like the Water Margin, but my favourite is McCaw on the Ormeau Road Belfast0

On the Ormeau Road. Now it's years since I was in their old restaurant, but the new one is fantastic. Went with a crowde from work and had the best meal I've had for ages. Try their special starter ?£11.50 for 2 with a bit of everything on a platter. The main courses we had were super. Included rice in price and very generous portions. The nan were very light and fresh. Although very busy the atmosphere was really pleasant and service excellent. Pity it's not twice the size!!

here's some of our favourites:
The Cove, portnablagh, dunfanaghy, co donegal (super quality, far better than rankins, deans etc)
Da vinci's, derry
Conor, stranmillis road, belfast
Although we usually end up in The Four Winds, Newton Park, Belfast on a Friday for our tea.0 -
Should also add, don't eat in Bar Seven Live in the Odyssey. We went there over the summer, service was poor, food not very good and the waitress brought us over a bottle of vinegar that had several small flies floating in it. I showed it to her, she went and spoke to the manager who didn't ven bother coming over to apologise and ignored us. Contacted them by email when I got home, got an email from general manager of the bar upstairs saying he'd sent it on to his colleague and yet 4 months later I'm still waiting for a reply. At the minute I am addicted to CHina China in Bangor (an all you can eat Chinese £5.99 at lunch time). other good restaurants in Bangor are Papa Joes and Marine Court
