Thanks for the replies - EA advertises on RM, Zoopla and S1 Homes. It'll be in their window as well. I haven't asked for newspaper advertising.
csh - I'll need to remember about looking at smaller Estate Agents if/when I need to move from selling to buying, thanks!SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
Got the pics through from EA this evening - quite pleased with them.....think I'd want to view the house if I seen them! The pic of master bedroom makes it look smaller than it is and no pic of bathroom so I've emailed back to ask why.
Still waiting for HR to come through though and can't do anything else without it. The surveyor said 2-3 days so hopefully I'll have it agreed by the end of the weekSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
And so, it's on the market!! :j :j
I received the Home Report yesterday - a couple of "2" ratings - there is some rendering that will need fixed soon and the exterior decorations. I think that's the outside woodwork etc which needs freshened up. The rest are all 1s and the valuation is £95k.
I did ask the EA if I should fix the 2s - to be honest, if I was buying somewhere with those comments it wouldn't bother me. EA said the HR looks fine and I suppose he sees a lot more of them than I do.
I've checked Rightmove and Zoopla this morning and there it is . The For Sale board will be put up in the next few days.
My next door nieghbour moved out last week and unfortunately, there's a load of rubbish outside her front door. I phoned the council to ask when it would be removed as it's a bit of an eyesore for any potential viewers....they said it will definitely be removed but they can't confirm when
I'll need to phone the solicitor on Monday and get them set up to deal with any conveyancing - hopefully not too long before they need to do anything
Anyway, I'll report back with any progress or weekly update if nothing to report...SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

Eh?
Did you go with an EA who isn't a solicitor?
In other words, are you not on the main online property portals in Scotland, the SPC networks?
I've just done a search for my area on the local SPC website, and it comes up with 1102 properties for sale.
On Rightmove, just 26.:rotfl:“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Thanks Hamish - guess it must be different in different areas and maybe on the price range and type of house. GSPC has 27 properties compared to 84 on Rightmove, 79 on Zoopla and 71 on S1 Homes.
The solicitor I'm using is an EA too but I'm not using them to sell the house....at the moment. Maybe if there's been nothing in a few months I'll need to review my options - but let's hope notSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
The For Sale sign is now up in the front garden :j
Happy to report that the rubbish has been removed from outside the next door neighbour's house so I'm ready when the viewers decide to flock (big fat zero viewers so far  )SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

Wasn't sure I'd be allowed to post the link - wouldn't it be classed as advertising?? :money:SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0
