Arghh I've lost my Halifax Rewards accounts, 14th April setup must have been correct

However, I set up a third DD on one of them for a new credit card in March, with first payment due to be made 20th April. Despite the CC company sending a letter to say it was all set up, the DD never appeared on my online banking until 19th April. It made me wonder if they have been stalling on setting these up fully so people miss the deadline...
They are not normally listed until the first payment has been taken.0 -

Why would your letters be different?
I have no idea. My OH got 3 too (we have 3 reward each and 1 joint current) his letters were identical to mine.Herman - MP for all!0 -

But I'm 99.99% certain they all made reference to the 14th, so I'm at a loss as to why yours didn't.0 -
My account has been downgraded also.
One thing that concerns me is that I transferred £1000 in and then transferred £900 out of the account. The £900 shows as going out first on the account which means my statement shows a large debit. Therefore had this remained a reward account I would not have got the £5 as it has not been in credit the whole of the month. This has never happened before with my transfers.
Oh well, I suppose I could cancel the account and wait 6 months and hope they still have the joining bonus. I never got one when I opened the account this time round.
Seems they are happy to lose existing customers but pay willing to pay £100 for new ones. Not Rachmaninov

Not a lawyer but did study some law once and I sincerely doubt it.
Even if I haven't been in the UK since January (so haven't seen the letters) - the only thing that counts is the change in T&C - which they also put on their website, not anything else.
As such, Halifax need to give two months individual notice to each customer they intend to downgrade and could only do this from the 1 May. As such customer's can't effectively be downgraded until July under their own T&C.
If the 14 April was a relevant date, it should have been in the new T&C - sounds like an elementary mistake from someone in Halifax

Obviously the first target here is the gamers. But they aren't going to write and say "Dear Mr & Mrs Gamer, If you don't stick two Tesco DDs on each of your 9 Reward accounts pronto, we'll chop off your £540 a year." It's catch-as-catch-can with gaming."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
so let me clarify a few things!
Ive got my 2 DD set on my reward current account, but let say only one of my DD will be actually paid during may. Am i still getting a fiver on 1st of june?
Or those 2 DD should be paid during the month?0 -

T&Cs: http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/pdf/130501-bank-account-changes.pdf
Basically: You'll get the £5 if you pay in £750 or more each calendar month and have a minimum of two different direct debit mandates paid from your Reward Current Account each calendar month and have not had a debit balance (planned or unplanned) by the end of any day during the calendar month
