It makes muscles relax, but it depends on how you take it! that's all i get out of it!
ah well... maybe if it just relaxes me alot i'll feel less bothered about the whole period/holiday issue! ;)

ktb, you really need to balance taking noristherone (which is only one hormone not the full "pill") against the effects your period will have on your holiday.
for me its a no-brainer i'm afraid... periods are inconveinient yes.. but entirely natural and I'm not about to mess with Mother Nature with some horrible synthisised & potentially harmful chemical.. i'll just have to grin and bear it (I will miss the swimming tho :( )

And good luck trying to get lots of raspberry leaf tea down you! I drank one cup, once, and that was my limit! :rotfl:
:rotfl: yes I havent actually tried the stuff yet!! I have been imagining it somewhat like a nice fruit tea... but now i'm worried!! There is also a respberry leaf tincture.. which may be slightly easier to take in large quantities so I think I will get that too..

    Thanks guys!

whilst periods are entirely natural, having them from 12 to 45 is not really. your supposed to be pregant or breast feeding so not having that many periods in your lifetime :D

:) nosey away.. I absolutely hate the feeling of tampons once you have been swimming - all full of water etc.. i'd be rushing to change them every 5 minutes! Plus my periods are so heavy that I tend to leak after a couple of hours even with super plus tampons in - so I actually wouldn't trust them not to leak into the pool...!

Chamomile is meant to have a stimulating effect on the menstrual cycle. I have tried drinking gallons of chamomile tea when I've wanted to bring on (and finish) a period sooner than normal and I think it has had an effect, although you can't exactly call it a scientific study.

ktb, I don't know far your views on not interfering with your body go, but taking a couple of ibuprofens should halve your flow for a few hours.
