Yeah, I didn't opt for the free trial subscription as thought it would result in subscription fees if it wasn't cancelled in time. I didn't even particularly want the magazine, literally only downloaded it because it was free and of mild interest to me!
How much is the issue price on there now? £11.00 seems mighty steep for a magazine! Barnes and Noble are being very quiet all of sudden and haven't replied to my last e-mail. I think I may have a battle on my hands to get any money back!
I know people will probably read this and think I have just been silly and mis-read the price but there was definitely a big old button there that said free! I don't think I'm going to have a leg to stand on though as I have no way of proving it0 -

The e-mail I received from Barnes and Noble said that I'd been charged £11.00 for an issue of the magazine, seems ridiculous, something's clearly not right! Anyhow, thanks for your replies, I will try and call them later to resolve :S0

I have downloaded it and looked at it as an ePub, will try converting through calibre when on my own machine.
It really is an excellent read, a true Great American Novel, I recommend it heartily.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -

ThanksI know that you can do it through their website, barnesandnoble.com, not sure if you can do it from your nook or not as haven't tried.
Don't get me wrong, I have downloaded heaps of free books since I got my nook without problem, it's just this one that I had an issue with.. it has made me a bit paranoid though! I think I might take my details off and re-activate them if/when I actually want to spend money on something, good idea 23rdspiral :T0 -

I'm at work at the mo so can't check whether it's coming up as free anymore? I am currently waiting for barnes and noble to get back to me, I have asked for a refund, I am not overly hopeful though!
im sure with a new nook they send you an email saying there was a free trial of magazines?0 -
