on the hukd site, when the argos deal came back on, lots of people were saying that they could only get on the us version. I haven't been able to fully setup mine yet, but I'm sure that it's the US one as the time was US (Atlanta, Pacific etc) and it had Barnes and Noble internet saved.

There's a way of making it UK (it's explained on hukd http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nook-simple-touch-back-stock-29-argos-1554796?page=10#comments)
but I haven't a clue how to do it. I can barely manage itunes so maybe I was slightly optimistic with all this ebook lark! xxx

My daughter received a Nook yesterday. We've registered it via the UK Barnes and Noble store and downloaded some free books onto it via the PC. It's currently connecting happily to our Wifi but is only showing the USA Barnes and Noble shop so all the books are priced in dollars. I can't seem to find any way of changing this. I've tried technical "chat" support from the Nook website but no one is replying. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks!

I've been in touch with Nook support. It's not possible to reconfigure a US version so that it will access the UK store. I'll be returning it to Argos.

I finally gave in and ordered one from Sainsburys just before 8p.m., and it's been cancelled and refunded already! It was only intended to use to try the
rooted( is that what it's called?) as mentioned in other posts, so it's not essential but still annoying when you think you've got one. Sellingmysoul, you may want to check you emails.

Not sure what's happened in the cases described here but I got one delivered from Argos on 21st May and the outer sleeve of the box cover def says UK VER

Has anyone who had problems with defaulting to US B&N site looked at the back sleeve of the box to see the version details on there?

Ordered one from Sainsbury's about 6.30ish. Had email to confirm order and checked my Sainsbury's account and it says order processing. Says they are still in stock on website but we shall see...

I ordered one from Sainsbury's for click and collect and it never moved from the processing screen. I was a bit worried about it but I got a confirmation email 4 days later saying it was ready to collect.
