I still haven't unpacked mine yet:) Hope it isn't just an empty box.
It is a present for OH and I want to sound as if I know how to set it up etc before giving it to him:o:o
Have been looking at chargers, but some of the cheap ones seem to have reviews that say they damaged the Nook and this was on Amazon:eek:
Will probably just charge it up from the computer and then worry about the wifi after:D One hurdle at a time!Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
If you have a mobile phone charger with a mini USB just use the plug off that to charge, personally I use the plug from the iPad, but I'm sure the plug from any tablet or similar item that used mini USB would be suitable0

Has anyone had any luck regarding finding decent cases for their nooks? Are there any other ereaders/tablet (similar dimensions etc) cases that generally fit a nook?0

As I was giving the one I got as a gift I bought the dedicated Oliver case from Currys for £9.99, obviously a perfect fit. The international set of chargers is only £7.99 from Argos at the moment so went for those too.

My 2 arrived from Nook UK yesterday, and I've opened one of them to check if it has any of my details pre-registered on it, which it doesn't. I assume that's because I just ordered the Nook without registering or setting up a B & N account. I had to register before I could do anything with it, but the registration process didn't involve putting in a credit card as far as I could see.
I'm assuming, then, that the Nook UK orders which arrived pre-registered are all the ones ordered by people who opened a B & N account when they made their purchase?
Just out of interest, IrishRose12, did all 3 of yours arrive with your details pre-registered? TIA
Yes all 3 of mine had the details on them when they were set up. Obviously like the other posters then when the internet was set up. I just didn't realise it at the time

I went for this Tuff Luv case based on a recommendation in another thread:
http://tuff-luv.com/e-readers/nook-ereader-cases/embrace-plus-case-cover-stand-for-nook-2-simple-nook-black.html
They are on Topcashback too so overall it's a good deal. The case is feature packed (integrated stand and grip) and fits my Glowlight perfectly.0 -
I bought this one - http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/37391771/695086253/eForCity-For-Nook-2-Simple-Touch-Black-Leather-Case-Cover-Screen-LCD-Cover-Guard-Clip-LED-Light/ListingDetails.html?searchstring=nook+case&searchsource=0&searchtype=allproducts&urlrefer=searchgupalsmurthpadacal wrote: »Has anyone had any luck regarding finding decent cases for their nooks? Ok, it took about a week or two to arrive, but it's perfectly fine and looks nice0
