got mine only took two weeks !!!!!!
    Who did you order from?
Anyone had any further communication from Currys?
I have one ordered (last Friday) but no more emails or dispatch notifications. It appears to have gone back up to £69 on the website.
I emailed them last night but I'm still waiting on a reply, although I did receive a confirmation of receipt email. Has anybody actually had theirs delivered from currys?

Thanks so much for the reply. Sorry to be a pain but i dont know if you could please let me know how you repartitioned it as OH is quite techy and should be able to do it for me :D
If you look HERE you will see how to do it.
I use Linux anyway so didn't need the live-cd. But had issues with the resizing of the NOOK partition, I ended up backing it up, reformatting it, resizing it then restoring the data (only needed if you have books on it)
As I say it now has the 800Mb free for my books and about 200Mb for B&N books, which is how I want it.

As to cancelling on Nook uk, it seems impossible. Live chat doesn't, email gets answered with "it has been dispatched, so you can't cancel" even though it hadn't.
Only way seems to be, when UPS come to deliver it just say no thanks, return it to Nook. When they get it back they will refund you.

  • I've just got off the phone to Currys. Very helpful guy who said that there is no date showing on his screen so cannot advise as to delivery. Told me to call back in a week. Have taken the money off my CC which he said is normal procedure for online orders. He offered to refund me but at the moment I've kept my order open.

I really wanted it for next weekend as a gift for my daughter but doesn't look like that's going to happen. I'll just keep checking Argos, Sainsburys and JL to see if any do come back in stock :(
  • I ordered my nook from Very , but have ben advised it will take longer than next day (this was 10 days ago) to be delivered. Might take as long as upto the 31.5! Will have to wait and see as cant seem to get them any where now.
  • I ordered a Nook instore at Curry's last Saturday, to collect from the store, I was told it would only take a few days to arrive. When I went in store yesterday to chase it up, I was told that they had just received a delivery in store, but that mine hadn't arrived yet (the saleswoman on the till went up to the stockroom to check), and to wait for them to phone me to notify me my nook was ready to collect.

I just cancelled my order with very got fed up of them messing me about first it was the 03.05.13 then it was the 10.05.13 and lastly the 31.05.13 and then a neighbor who order her's after mine got it within 2 working days. At that point I thought stuff it!
So I just gave up on the extra discount and booked a click and collect via John Lewis

And what did he say when you said that the site gave you a date for when they'd come back into stock? Are we just supposed to overlook that? I could have made my order with anyone and waited for them to get it back in stock, but I made it with currys because they gave me a date. Talk about misleading! They'd better hurry up
