It's the new 2Gb
The actual memory free is 250Mb for user books, and 850Mb for B&N books, and the rest is used by the system.
You can repartition it, but it isn't as easy as rooting it. I have switched them over and now have 850Mb for my books and the rest for apps etc.
Thanks so much for the reply. Sorry to be a pain but i dont know if you could please let me know how you repartitioned it as OH is quite techy and should be able to do it for me0 -
Well, within the last hour Very have changed the delivery date from the 15th to the 20th May for one of my Nooks on order.
I've cancelled and ordered from John Lewis click and collect. I collect on Sunday all being well.
So I may have lost out on the £25 voucher from Very but cant do with the time wasting checking Very several times a day.
John Lewis give 2yrs guarantee!0 -
Quick question - how do you delete a book once read from the Nook?
Thanks0 -

Fantastic, I am so glad I checked on here again this evening. Every time I have looked on the JL website they have said out of stock, so they can have only just got some more in.
Have ordered one to collect from local Waitrose. As you say, the 2 year guarantee is well worth it.
Thanks again.:T:TStopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

Oddly you can't delete it on the device, you need to go on to your nook account online and delete it there, or, if you are using calibre you can remove books that haven't been downloaded from the nook store by clicking 'remove from device'.0 -
Just got an email from Nook uk. Apparently the nook I ordered from them, that was dispatched/cancelled is now being dispatched. I have tried to cancel it already a week ago.
..
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with this, as I'm having a similar experience. Ordered from Nook UK on May 1st. Cancelled the order the next day as they had them in stock in my local Sainsburys. Nook Order Status remained on "Processing", so I spent hours on the live chat trying to convince them to cancel. I was told it was impossible to cancel as "the order has already entered the shipping process." But a week later it still says "Processing", and I'm getting emails apologising for the "delay in shipping" (I don't want it shipped!! I've cancelled it!!!)and promising it will be send out by the 17th.
Aaaargh!:mad::mad:How do I make them understand that (a) I no longer want the order and have been trying to get it cancelled for over a week, and (b) that it makes absolutely no sense to keep telling me it's too far into the shipping process to cancel, yet it won't be sent out for another week! The two things completely contradict each other, surely?
Has anyone successfully managed to cancel an order from Nook UK? If I'd known it was going to be such a labrynth of frustration, I would never have ordered in the first place. There isn't even a phone line (or rather, there is, but it's simply a recorded message directing you to the online Live Chat.) Anyone got any suggestions on how to cancel a Nook UK order effectively?0 -
When you 'borrow' an e-book from your library, it's only temporarily downloaded to your device, and when the loan period has been reached it will delete itself from your e-reader. Does that make sense?
Sounds a bit like Mission Impossible;)Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

Ooooooh which store was it please?0 -
I'm tempted to buy one for my mum for mother's day (end of May in France). Am I right in thinking that if I root it and install the Kindle app on it, she will be able to order books from Amazon France for it?0
