Ooooooh which store was it please?
The main one in Belfast City Center. It doesn't say on the actual packaging it's for a Nook, but it does say it's for Kindle 4 and Touch aswell as Kobo touch. I'd be interested to hear how you get on with this, as I'm having a similar experience. Ordered from Nook UK on May 1st. Cancelled the order the next day as they had them in stock in my local Sainsburys. Nook Order Status remained on "Processing", so I spent hours on the live chat trying to convince them to cancel. I was told it was impossible to cancel as "the order has already entered the shipping process." But a week later it still says "Processing", and I'm getting emails apologising for the "delay in shipping" (I don't want it shipped!! I've cancelled it!!!)
and promising it will be send out by the 17th.
Aaaargh! :mad::mad::mad:How do I make them understand that (a) I no longer want the order and have been trying to get it cancelled for over a week, and (b) that it makes absolutely no sense to keep telling me it's too far into the shipping process to cancel, yet it won't be sent out for another week! The two things completely contradict each other, surely?
Has anyone successfully managed to cancel an order from Nook UK? If I'd known it was going to be such a labrynth of frustration, I would never have ordered in the first place. There isn't even a phone line (or rather, there is, but it's simply a recorded message directing you to the online Live Chat.) Anyone got any suggestions on how to cancel a Nook UK order effectively?
I sent them two emails to cancel but were totally ignored.0 -
You need to plug in the Nook into your laptop with the USB cable, open Adobe Digital and on the left handside of the screen you will see "NOOK"above "bookshelves" (I think that's where it is). Right-click onto your book and choose "copy to NOOK" (or transfer, can't remember!).
Thanks for the reply. Well it does not seem to be 'seeing' my Nook so I have uninstalled the Adobe Digital editions as it has been on my laptop for a while. I've reinstalled a newer version and not brought anything over to the new one from the old one, my Nook is connected but it is still not showing above the bookshelves bit. I haven't had chance to have a proper play around with it tonight so will have a good go at it this weekend and if I still can not get it sorted I will have to phone Nook support.

Is your Nook properly charged? Mine wasn't being "recognised" by the laptop until it was charged fully.
Also, try "ejecting" it from the toolbar at the bottom of your screen, then unplug it. Then plug it back in.
I hope you get it sorted! I have a Kindle, and it was much easier to use when first starting, it took me a while to figure it out with the Nook!0 -
I have downloaded Calibre okay but got a 'malicious' warning when trying to download the plug-in from apprenticealf so didn't proceed.I had a Kaspersky warning. However if you read down the page it mentions this and tells you why. And gives a link for you to check for further info. Then you decide if you want to take the chance or not.

I have one ordered (last Friday) but no more emails or dispatch notifications. It appears to have gone back up to £69 on the website.0
