It's a really good deal!
I just got mine from Very for £17.95 ( new member £15 off ) but I didn't read the terms carefully and I don't want a credit account with them. I'm getting really really worried. In my account it says I have been given £300 credit. What happens if I don't use it - can I close the account when the nook comes ? any advice please. I should have got it from Argos now I think
They offered me £3,000 in credit!!! PMSLExcited for Florida - May 2012 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Ok, so you have to register at Barnes and Noble to be able to download books to the Nook.
It asks you for your credit card details etc and address but my husband says it is asking or state instead of county etc.
Do you have to put these details in to download free books and how do you get around the address box to enter UK details?

Thanks, we thought the Barnes and Noble site was the right one as it said UK in the URL address.0 -
Has anyone had problems with nook direct website?
I ordered the other day and got the email saying that my payment had been declined like other people. After no success trying to contact them I ordered from argos. I then received an email from nook saying that they have sorted the problem and they hoped I would return to place my order again.
I didn't as I had already ordered from argos. However I have just received an email from nook saying that I should receive my order within the next 4-5 days.
Has anyone else had this?0 -
Ok so someone tell me how I didn't realise my flippin Nook would be coming from the Netherlands!! Stupid stupid me. Had I known that before ordering I would have ordered from somewhere else for goodness sake. That'll teach me in the future, to find out where they're being sent from:(
As for registering on the site to download books...... I was automatically registered when I bought it direct from them, have only downloaded the free books so thankfully no hidden charges. When my Nook finally arrives and I know it's all OK, I'm hoping I'll be able to close that account as I don't want my card details on it TBHPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

I got the same email as yourself, but like someone else on here ignored it, as I had managed to purchase one using another card on the site. I hope that doesn't mean I have another one coming as I really don't need it, and can't afford postage back to the Netherlands!:eek:Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
I've had an email from Nook saying my order has dispatched. I clicked on Track your order, and I see it's now in Utrecht, Netherlands! I hope I can understand it when it gets here, and that it's not all Double Dutch
(sorry, couldn't resist that).

I emailed them when I got the first email and they said I would need to re order or phone them to make the payment. The customer service is pretty bad.0
