It asks for an email address, but you can just make up an email address if you want'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

When you buy/download an ebook you can do so in multiple formats. The most common are epub (used by a LOT of readers) and kindle (used by Amazon exclusively)
Just to clarify a little, the two main ebook formats are
EPUB - Nook, Sony eReader, Kobo
MOBI - Kindle, and can also be read on a lot of the earlier PDA devices with Mobipocket software (I've got a couple of PDAs, dirt-cheap off ebay, for reading ebooks with mobipocket.)'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

The reason I said kindle was that they USED to use mobi, but have switched to azw format for books downloaded from Amazon. The Kindle will read either.Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0

Hi
Just received one I bought for my daughters birthday.
I've taken it out and charged it so I can load it up (play with it! ) for her.
Can someone tell me very time I turn a page or press anything it kind of blips or slightly flashes to move onto the next page. It's really annoying.
Is that normal?
Thanks0
