Hi there - not sure if this has been covered already, but Asda are selling the Nook Simple Touch for £29, to be dispatched on 4th August.

I have a load of kindle books I'm looking to transfer over - is rooting or converting using calibre best? Has anyone had any problems with rooting?

Calibre is the better option, I personally don't like the kindle app on this box. Once you have installed all the bits it is quite transparent.

But I have mine rooted so I can do either.
I have had no problems with rooting.

ANY usb charger with a MICRO usb connector will charge this device.

Argh! I asked Asda to notify me when the Nook is back in stock - I was sat on my ipad when I got a text and was on the website within a minute of receiving it, and they're not in stock! I don't know if they sold out that quickly or if the text was a mistake - signed up again for them to notify me when in stock.

Are these still £29? As Argos aren't showing one for this price.

Sadly I don't have a store locally but I am going to order from Blackwells - I can live with £2.50 postage :) Thanks - this is why I love MSE :)
