    Thanks for your reply but its the actual charger not the lead I am querying.

    I'm trying a phone charger with 5v output and that seems to be working.

    I use my BlackBerry charger with the Nook cable to charge mine. Works fine.

    Output matters little the Nook will take what it needs lower output = slower charging.

    So long as it is the correct cable (even if it is attached to a charger direct or via a usb plug) it should be fine.
    I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

    Amazon seem to have the same books at 99p too. Don't ask me why, but I prefer to download the Kindle version and convert using Calibre. Probably because I've yet to add payment info to my Nook account.
