My Very order has been pushed back until 14th June!!
They were nice enough when informing me though. That was a credit to them and hope they honour the £15.

So has mine! I got a phone call to say the delivery date is now 14 June - the date on my account is 17 June and has been for about a week so will wait and see when it arrives!

OH got a call today to say delivery would be 14 June - his nooks were delivered last Friday! he said the lady at very sounded very hassled.

Glad to hear the nooks now seem to be working. I will ask OH to check his.

Great to hear, sadly I'm 100 miles from my two new nooks so can't personally verify but it would be great if this has finally been resolved and we can use our new e-readers at last.

Of course that still doesn't excuse Barned and Noble's woeful behaviour or answer the question as to how they will make up for all the inconvenience, upset and anxiety they've caused.

Still, it would be nice to think that a little consumer prodding did help them focus on the problem and will help them come to a reasonable level of compensation to all those who've suffered from their woeful mishandling of the situation
Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!

Yay! I'm sorted! Nook registered. Some books added. And photos added for screensaver. Aside from the server issue, very impressed. Easy to use, feels a lot better than a kindle and cost only half as much.
  • This maybe a silly question but do you have to have a credit card to register or will a debit card do?

At last! I registered mine this morning. I'm still hacked off about the server issue and the poor response from B & N, but I like the feel of the Nook and think I'll enjoy using it.

Bridgetdunstable, I used a debit card and it worked fine.

If you set up your B & N account on your PC first (before you register your Nook ) you don't need to register a card at all.
Just add your free books from other sources as described on previous posts.
