If you have already set up an account with them, can't you just log in on your PC and register the Nook that way?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0

I just did it on the Nook itself as I believe that is what needs to be registered. I dont know how it has worked with serial numbers etc but it seems ok and I am able to navigate around the home screen.“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”0

It won't go past the connecting to the Internet stage to allow us to continue with setup. What did you do that was different?
The website is now acknowledging the problem and simply stating they'll fix it0 -
I am quite worried about this; as previously mentioned I bought this a few weeks ago but haven't done anything with it yet as it a present for OH's birthday.
I have also ordered a charger from Curry's that is on its way:eek:
If the worst happens and it won't work, is it possible to get a refund for both the Nook and the charger?
I don't know where you'd stand really? You could open it and try switching it on & doing it. I'm glad I've checked as mine is a gift but I planned to get some books on it ready for use. If you test yours maybe that will confirm whether its a problem with the server or the books? B&N swear its the servers but if mcja has managed to do it maybe its not0 -
Having the same errors with registering my nook
Twitter account @nook_care_uK seem to be active in responding to the problem if you have no luck via other methods (tried chat twice, spoke to two people who strangely vanished when I mentioned the issue). They seem to be just copying/pasting same reply at the mo but may be worth following if you have twitter in case they mention as soon as the issue is resolved.0 -
Has anyone tried this?
http://raviudeshi.com/2011/11/nook-touch-skip-registration I've followed it up until actually pressing the Skip Oobe button but daren't press it!! You have to select the language when you first switch it on then follow the instructions.0 -

Thanks!! Just tried it and it seems to have worked perfectly.
Edited to remove my note - got too excited & didn't read that you'd said about the language already, hah!0 -

Great stuff! I will give it as long as poss for B&N to sort the matter and if that fails i shall follow that to untether it so I can give it as a present with some books on0 -
Apparently by doing that though it uses up the battery quite quickly0
