For those not on my Facebook we have 4 ginger kittens, born on Tuesday.
I had best keep this quiet from DD2. It is her birthday in a few weeks & the top of her list is a kitten  And I know she particularly wants a ginger one. Luckily I think you are too far away (phew!). She also wants a laptop (which we can't afford atm). We don't know what she is doing yet after A levels. If she is not going to college, she doesn't need a new laptop! (she has an iphone for internetty stuff)
2 loads in WM - had to be put in the TD as we have had thunderstorms here today. Got caught in the rain when we took the dog out!
Few things sold on ebay, so they will need packing up before going to the PO on Tuesday. The big one finishes tomorrow evening - still waiting for a bidding frenzy
Going to my mum's for dinner tomorrow as my aunty is staying with her (we don't see her much). Then going in search of some bluebell woods in the sunshine on Monday (must remember to take my camera)
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. And Bossy, you made me blub tooYour MIL sounds lovely. You are lucky to have each other. I am another one that should count my blessings

Cats... I'm allergic, as is DS. On Wednesday I was in the bath reading quite happily when something caught my eye... a ginger cat was peeping at me :eek::eek: I'd left the back door open... I leapt up and told it to b*gger off... which it did... it gave me a funny look as it sauntered down my garden when I was locking the door...

Oh no kazw! How annoying!
Our plan for today:
Change / wash bedding and towels. Get them out on line.
Have a tidy in conservatory and move playroom back in.
If I've got room to manoeuvre, maybe lift the little freezer out to defrost.
Clean & test BBQ for tomorrow. Get patio table out etc.
Empty chiminea. Gramps might have a bonfire tomorrow...
General childcare and refereeing duties :rotfl:
Supposed to be warmer today, here's hoping!Bossymoo

Can't come to my house then Bonnie, we have 4We did have 5 but one moved next door when we got the dog, which was strange really considering she was raised with a dog before she lived with us
Didn't get much done yesterday. A friend messaged me asked if I wanted to go to theirs for coffee. So I did and ended up spending the whole afternoon there
The DDs have drumming this morning but DD2 and I WILL be blitzing that bedroom when we come back0 -
Having a good old potter this morning. Windows open, first wash out, second on its last spin. Have read my meters. Appear to be in credit for electricity, and owe a little for gas (less than £40) as I do pay monthly rather than on bill. But we've used about 860 gas units since my last reading (end Nov so 5+ months) that's about £450.
Is that a lot? It's been a long chilly winter here and I've not scrimped on heating, so not really been watching the usage of it. We've a fairly big ish house although I do turn radiators off in unused rooms and had thermal curtains all round.
Kids want snack already...Bossymoo

I've found a website that is appealing for dog-free households which are experienced collie owners to act as fosterers. They don't have to be cat-free. Small black bitey cat is missing Dog and keeps sniffing around her places although I did ensure he saw her after the event, so he knows she died.
As I've worked them and had them as pets on and off for forty years so I think I'll qualify and they pay all the costs - everything. Food, transport, vets bills, the lot.
I am so tempted. Commonsense dictates that I need to allow a little time. Please can Flyladies say the things I need to be told to stop me rushing into this. Firstly, does anyone know how quickly Home Inspections take before fostering can start? If it's months, then I need to get the ball rolling now, but if it is a couple of weeks I think I should let it lie a bit longer.Better is good enough.0 -
