been to RSPCA with two small animal cages , bowls, spare logs etc. We looked round. This was probably a mistake - a basket of 6 kittens, one with the most incredible leopard-like markings.
I do NOT need a kitten...
been to PAH for a new, deluxe, litter tray, with a cover and a filter and a door - hope it works; the top of the previous tray ( a rim affair) got accidentally broken when dad painted the kitchen and litter has been scuffed out of the tray, hence the splurge.
Also put the decorating stuff back in the loft, and tidied the shed, a bit.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Ok, so the dogs got two walks, one combined with the shopping trip and I watched the football and read the paper and spent more time on here, but no flying. Just about to cook tea, a bit earlier than usual, as we're off out tonight.
Have a great evening everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Well apparently the local football team are off up to the premier league.. again.. lol
DD2 prom dress bought.. £495 says the price tag (£120 but shhh we are keeping that a secret) and a £36 tiara.. just shoes and contacts and hair and nails and the ticket to pay for now!
Dinner done, just needs potatoes in
Bed sheets all out on the line.. it is nice and blowy out there so will be dry soon hopefully.
Food liberally dribbled down my clothes so I have an excuse to wear one of my new dresses tonight... YAY!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thank you Bonnie and Narco for your kind thoughts.
Thank you Bossy, as always, for perspective. I think your MiL's message about the flowers is just perfect.
No Flying here today. This city is in the early days of a month long History Festival so I spent the day listening to excellent speakers talk about interesting things.Better is good enough.0 -

I put a pic on fb and my cousin asked where from. MIL replied they were all the way from heaven, express delivery with love isn't that lovely.
And another one crying here and thinking how much I have to be grateful for - and - like Mrs Moneypenny said - should say so more often!
Bossy I hope you all had a really lovely time at the party this afternoon and also that your ebay stuff got picked up. You cope so magnificently with those little moos - you are an inspiration to us. Your flowers sound absolutely gorgeous and I do hope you get lots of pleasure, with what must be very conflicting emotions, at the smell and sight of the lovely blooms. Let us all wish for some calm and happy times ahead for you. R x
Been on a huge de-clutter mission here before we go away at the end of next week, and we have both done well. Loads of stuff going to charity, some to my schoolteacher niece, and some in the bin! OH mowed front and back lawns and we want to finish weeding and potting up tomorrow. All ironing done too!
We've stored away throws etc for winter (managed to get them all washed and dried) and I've sorted both the store and cat food cupboards, cleaned skirting boards, cleaned a big store box I had and also cleaned all the bookcases. Tea is now cooking and it will ready soon, so I am aiming now for a restful night!
I've had a fraught couple of days as the friend I help with shopping and cleaning was really horrible to me the other day, for nothing that was my fault, so I intend to back off there and let them do more themselves - it's not the best way of spending a day off anyway! Hopefully I'll get more time to read some of my books!! I've so many - have even popped some unread into the charity box.
Anyway, tea beckons, so good wishes all round, I hope you all get chance to enjoy the BH and get some sunshine!! R x0 -
I also need to tidy through downstairs though as we have various people coming to see the kittens this week, not potential homes, just cat lady friends like me. For those not on my Facebook we have 4 ginger kittens, born on Tuesday.
hex - I am SO jealous! I love gingers - haven't got one now as our beloved (old and very poorly) gingy had to go to the big sleep two years ago this month. Our current cats are B & W and Tabby, but gingy was - well - gingy! Soft as melted butter, calm, cuddly, and the bestest gingy in the world, with his funny little voice! He is so missed.
But. four ginger kittens!! Are they staying with you? Did I say I'm jealous???
Give them a tickle from me when they are old enough. R x0
