Evening update as promised (to the other thread, who are probably sending out a search party... ;) )

    Kitchen all decluttered and sorted.
    Bathroom all cleaned.
Bedroom. Well, I have made a start.
    Kitchen. Made a start.

One bag of stuff ready to go to the charity shop and 71 (!) items listed on eBay, not as impressive as it sounds as 40 were relisted items but I am pleased with that. Cannot take any more of that site though and am about to embark on my next task... drinking a bottle of cider I have chilling in my fridge! ;)

Good on you! Seriously impressive! How on earth did you manage to list 31 items on fleabay as well as do all that? You are my productivity hero!

  • Another day out for me and mine today. I do love the school holidays, but I always end up doing too much and spending a fortune. Off to visit a friend, so hopefully not too spendy. Depends on what we decide to do with the kids once we're together.

Got up this morning and feeling all optimistic and motivated and did a LIST of things to do, proudly posting it on the forum but realise I posted in the wrong thread. Oops. Those pesky NSD'ers have a VERY similar thread title.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I have had so much grief from them in the past. This will no doubt tip them over the edge! A less obvious thread name will present itself for June...**thinking cap is on..**

Good Morning Chickadees... what a gloriously wet and horrible day it is. At least it isn't entirely freezing...

Update on chip situation ; The shop WAS CLOSED!!! I was GUTTED. And starving. Shoulda guessed really that on a bank holibob everyone will close their premises at 3pm... Grr! So it was an SFD ( marked up accordingly ) and I had stale toast with a fried egg and sausage!..

A whole £9 still to spend on food.. I am decidely starving this morning despite a tub of home made slightly not cooked enough rice pudding..:rotfl:

So I shall attempt a msierly shopping list and hit the store around 2030 in order to pilfer any good yellow sticker deals.. they usually have a lot in the little tescos near me around 1700 but things are usually only rediced from £1.99 to £1.75.. thats not enough for my liking.. I am talking 22p bread here... 17p pasta boxes etc...

Sarah174 your Fleabaying puts us all to shame.. did you use "save template".. that helped me no end the other day... I actually managed to sell something for £3 last week and due to work haven't been able to send it... whoopsie! And the cleaning.. good grief thats sounds epic..! Am well impressed..

Right.. I need more tea. It wil help in washing down my stale granary and peanut butter sandwich...:T:T:T

    Onwards and Upwards! !

  • Well May has been a disaster in many ways and in other way fantastic.

    Negatives

I totally failed the challenge, have gone over budgets with unexpected spends. Essentially the boyfriend's ex wife changed the childcare arrangements and we had an unexpected weekend away and as originally the one weekend we did have was going to be the only one for 6 weeks I went a bit mad spending wise anyway and yeah..........well. not planned and not good.
have finished the month in credit only by using ALL my little pots of cash for regular spends. only paid 500 pounds off the debt.

not had a great time at work..

not been very well - very poor diet.

    Positives

Part of the reason for the no money is that I paid off my cc - the one I use for my monthly spends and pay off and spend on again - however I HAVE NOT used it again.

I did have my little pots which have rescued me.

I have given my notice in - this feels amazing however it has made it very clear who my friends are - see above, so work is going to be tough for the next two months. But that just brings it home how much I need to leave.

things are going fairly well I guess, am a bit shaken by things at work but am strangely pleased with the sorting out I have done - moved 4000 of debt on to my 0% credit card, next payment for that is 24 June - I think I can ring to get that changed though so it is nearer the start of the month. The loan itself will be paid off by the time I am finished at work, the cc will be just about under 4000 and then once I have a job secure (!) temping (!!) I will work on paying that off.

anyhow I should go do something constructive.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
