Sorry, I actually came on here to catch up and post that I have 2 more SFD - yesterday and today (I am catching up on work so won't be going anywhere).
NSK & Siouxsie32 - feeling the pain of misremembered items. It's bloody annoying when that happens...after I lost a spend day at the start of May to this, I now carry a spare Oyster as it's too painful paying the ridiculous mark up of a new ticket.
ThriftyLass - great news on the PPI, and at least now the lunch which has been haunting you, has happened! Hope that it was enjoyable though!:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754
This is SPARTA #20 SFD=7/20 Groceries =17.82/50 Planned Spends 231.00/500

Well the food fair was lovely!
I had way too much free cheese, pickles and chutneys and had fun watching macho men attempting a men v food chilli challenge. Spends wise i spent:
£8 entrance fee (£4 each but paid for my friend as she drove)
£5 mahoosive hot dog thing (that came with brisket and salad and chilli and dips and just lots of stuff!!)
£3.60 on pudding things (for me and my friend as she brought drinks - i had a beautiful cocktaily lime lemonade)
We got back to the car just as it started to rain - good timingalthough my face feels a bit warm now, may have caught the sun
Kat - i once did that with a pair of earrings! gutted!
Thrifty - congrats on the PPI!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

I am feeling the pull towards a bag of chips when I get home.. someone tell me now too!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Afternoon all, well yesterdays sun is now rain - gotta love a british bank holiday!!
Good news - having got up at 5am yesterday I made about £65 at the car boot and cleared heaps of (mainly DD outgrown clothes) carp! My friend made £95 so that was £160 from one car!! Probably would have got more on fleabay but it was nice to "do it" in one hit. Another friend picked over the wreckage this morning and whats left is off to the charity shop in the morning!
Went to a classic car thingy near us yesterday afternoon, free entry as we are national trust members but a couple of quid spent letting kids go on the bouncy castles stuff so no SFD
Picked mum and dad up from the airport on Friday night - paid for parking and picked up some bits from the shop on Saturday so sfds have run off - today was looking hopeful but I took a load to the tip and invested in a waterbut and plastic cat bed for £5!
Work to do but shattered from yesterday - not sure what we are planning tomorrow but PPI cash is pending in my account to "clear" tomorrow. Promise to tuck it away so it doesnt get eaten!!
Had a quick skim through the posts - grr re lost stuff, yay re positive stuff. Totally get the "getting too tight to treat yourself comments" Mum and Dad wanted to get me a lovely handpainted pot yesterday - couldnt do it - 1 I have enough and 2 it was £15!!
However treating my kids - that is my weakness!! Sorted out ds summer wardrobe - you dont want to know how many pairs of shorts he owns...... Its embarrassing!!
Love to all

PS re chips, chop spud and par boil, drain and leave to dry for a mo then swish some oil on them and bung in the oven to chip up - scrummy and free!! Our nearest chippie is a 16 mile round trip!!Debt free on the 28/05/130 -

If I lived closer Id give you a spud - you've worked silly hours all weekend - I'd have a bag of chips and enjoy them

I hope you had the chips. A potato (or more, one wouldn't be enough!!), salt, vinegar, mayo/salad cream, and the electricity to cook them and the wait for them to cook would probably cost more than £1.40SPC9 #125 - £816.85

Got up this morning and feeling all optimistic and motivated and did a LIST of things to do, proudly posting it on the forum but realise I posted in the wrong thread. Oops. Those pesky NSD'ers have a VERY similar thread title.
What I posted;
Hi all, dull and overcast here in the north east today which is good as it means I can get on with a long list of jobs.
Food shopping today, spent £17 and shouldn't need to spend anything else all week, all healthy stuff too, am starting a detox! Eek. Caffiene withdrawal and headaches here I come...
Trying to detox the flat today and got a huge list of jobs today so posting on here now and going to post later today as an intensive for me to actually do them. Am planning to declutter, dust, hoover, etc. the living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, find a load of things to give to the charity shop and find at least 25 decent things to list on eBay by the end of today. Phewf.
Will post later and update you all how I got on
Have a great day everyone x
Evening update as promised (to the other thread, who are probably sending out a search party...)
Kitchen all decluttered and sorted.
Bathroom all cleaned.
Bedroom. Well, I have made a start.
Kitchen. Made a start.
One bag of stuff ready to go to the charity shop and 71 (!) items listed on eBay, not as impressive as it sounds as 40 were relisted items but I am pleased with that. Cannot take any more of that site though and am about to embark on my next task... drinking a bottle of cider I have chilling in my fridge!0
