    just rang up again, said i would cancel, they could offer me nothing!!!

    Do not know what to try next, or do I just wait.

    Dont wanna pay £130 quid for sky+, but do I have any other options??

    Please help!!

    Yes go through with the cancelation, they will start ringing with an offer of free Sky+ box, i had a bout 10 calls in my cancelation period.

    If they dont just un-cancell the cancelation

    I am also in the same boat as a few people, as i am not out of my 12 month contract period and would like sky plus but ahve rung on numerous occasions with no joy at all, just giving me the same offer as everyone else

    They wont offer anytgin when you are in contract, its a waste ringing.

    From what i understand, with the new rules of 1st July, there not doing any cheap boxes. I'm probably gonna pay the £130 as i got 45 quid from quidco and gonna sell the box they gave me for £40, and then pay the rest!!!

    is it worth it? and if so what boxes do most people get? I wanna make sure i get the best!!!!

    How recently was this though? After being told these cancellation offers no longer exist I am unsure if this will be a huge hassle when they hardly have the most speedy team of people answering the phone every time you call them!

    I cancelled a few weeks ago and whilst they have rung me regularly it has not been for anything other than the half price new Sky+ box. Must say they are optimists, if I wouldn't stay for that offer it is unlikely that I'd go back for it no matter how many times they ring up and repeat themselves!

    They did offer me the free refurbished box the first couple of times that they rang but haven't since.

    I think there is a degree of confusion on this board though about the 'free' Sky+ box offers and no clear distinction is being made as to whether the boxes being offered are new or refurb. Has anyone out there, definitely and without a doubt, been offered a new Sky+ box free?

    In reply to PEARTREE's question, i was supposed to have a refurbed SKY+ box when it was installed about 3 weeks ago but it was definitely BRAND NEW and it is the one advertised on the tv at the moment , it has sky anytime as well so i presume it is the PVR2 or 3 ?? It is also totally FREEE!!!!!!!!!!!! went through cancellations dept.

    I phoned upto cancel last week.

    They said ok, will be cut off 24th august lol

    I will wait and see if they call me, if not no harm no foul, watch most of sky's programs via the net anyway. :T
