I should start by saying that I have had the sky+ for a couple of weeks now and loving it!

However, I have noticed that a couple of times I have recorded things that show up as recorded in the list but when I go to play it, nothing happens when I press play/select. Most of the times I have no problem.

Some of the new PVR3 have this issue... They also seem to be prone to randomly deleting programs as well. It was supposed to be cured with the latest software upgrade as the first one that added ANYTIME was to blame.

I called sky and this deal was on today ,I am having it fitted thursday for FREE
this is open to new customers ,so I told them my hubby was moving out and I wanted the account in my name with sky+
you do need to give information of someone you know that could have recieved this offer in the mail ,as it is the introduce a friend replacing the £30 M&S vouchers
You also have to pay the £159 on a card and they refund it to you
I hope this helps everyone and also the offer is closing today (17 ) not the 16 june as said on other posts

First you have to make sure you have a PVR3 as these are the only ones that can get it.. Then you have to wait until sky tells your box to record something (can take up to a week) and then you have to be subscribed to the channels (like movies or sport) before you can view any material from them. I think you can check by going into tv guide then pressing the red button.. Remember that anytime is not a bonus or special thing... All it does is record programs from channels that sky think you might want to see..

In other words it is recording programs you can watch anyway..

don`t forget to go to "service" and look for "anytime setup" (or something like that) and make sure it`s turned on, you won`t get anything till the next day and then maybe 1-2 programs give it week and there will be lots.

BUT if your not on the package you can not watch the program.. i.e it will save a film but if your not on movies you can`t play it, same with discovery and such...

Sounds like you need a bit more training as Sky often do refurb installs depending on the promotion. If you are lucky the installer may not have a refurb on the van and will then obviously revert to a brand new box,

I was just wondering whether when Sky+ was installed, for those of you who have it, did you get sent a NEW viewing card?

Because I know you need another one for the old Sky Digibox if you want to hook it up for Freesat but I haven't had one in the post.

I called up Sky and they said I wasn't supposed to get another one unless I was taking Multiroom

My installer put the old sky card in the sky+ box and rang sky to activate my sky+ account. I had to ring to get a freesat card sent out to me for my old box - it costs £20 as a one off payment.
