Pl can anybody tell me when you get your sky+ box, does sky send you a new card in the post? Thanks0
-
no you use the same card - the installer puts it in the new box and then rings sky for you0

That is what I am thinking of doing if they don't come up with something better than £30 credit on my account. I only get 20 days annual leave a year, so two whole days wasted for nothing really hurts!:mad:MFW 2011 challenge - Aim: Overpay £414.26 a month/£5,000 a year. hello all, I have been reading with interest many of the messages here, and they are a great read. I currently have the basic tv package (15 quid a month) and the basic bradband (free per month). I am in seven months through a 12 month contract, is it worth telephoning sky, to try and get something extra like a plus box, or do i need to sit tight until my 12 months are complete?Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

Sky+ being installed tomorrow for free, box free etc etc!
DH said in the past he has had to really work sky for any type of deal and yesterday when he called he said it was like talking to a different company. The operator said that they are offering this deal in lieu of 1/2 price deals on packages which they are moving away from.
Also DH said he just said he wanted to cancel Sky and he was going to use the old changing shift pattern route but he did not even get that far the Sky+ offer was put to him before he even got to that part. Easy peasy!
Thanks for a great posting. We are all chuffed we have wanted sky+ for ages.:T

I wouldn't bother, just wait another 5 months you'll be in a better position as you can't threaten to leave anyway.

I wonder how much longer we are all going to be able to use the shift patterns reason before they catch on?
As I am writing this, the thread has been read nearly 30,000 times (and OP has only 56 thanks)

i phoned them on thursday to ask about sky+ and they told me £99 for box and £60 for install. i argued the point and she agreed to drop the £60. i told her i needed to think about it and hung up. i then phoned back and told them that i wanted to end my subscription (i've been with them for well over 12 months) as a result, i am getting sky+fitted FREE on tuesday!!!:j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j
its a funny old world!!
