To answer my own post posted earlier, even though I have seen other still in their contracts get this deal, I for one have not been so lucky. Phoned up 3 times using the various numbers, got told I can't have it as I already am in a contact0

Do you really need the sky box connected to you phone line it says so in the contract for 12 months? It's so unsightly the white cable showing off in the lounge and across the landing. I wonder how other cope with that!! Also my phone has got the micro filter for broadband and it has only two plugs, one for the dsl and one for the phone, no spare to pug the sky box, will there be a problem or will he fix a twin adaptor. I am having a new one fitted and paid £49 for it, is there a model I should ask for. I asked CS, she does not know. Thanks0

We have just moved in to our new property and they already have the SKY cables coming out of the wall right by where the TV is going. So, we have a HD ready TV, all the sky cables and dish already in place. What is the best Sky+ deal we can get and what is the best SKY HD deal we can get?
I wanna negotitate hard, I just want to know what our best case scenario is so I can go for it.
Anyone who can help would be very appreciated. :money:
I am also in this situation, would appreciate any advice, thanx!0 -

or do what I did and disconnected as soon as the engineer had left!
For your info, and everybody elses... Sky+ NEEDS to stay connected. Sky randomly checks to see if it can dial into the box once a month, and if it can't then it will cut off the service.
Edit to add - This is done to check the box/card is being used where it's supposed to be - i.e. at YOUR house.0 -
I have been with NTL/Virgin Media for ages. I now want to change to Sky for the tv, phone and broadband.

 Hi can anyone help on this, sorry if its in the wrong place.
I had a phone call asking me if I wanted this free sky+ as a previously cancelled customer. The reason I cancelled in the first place was because I couldn't get the whole see, speak surf package and I felt I should be offered something else in its place but sky didn't agree so I cancelled.
Since cancelling, they have told me that I can have thier broadband for £17.00 a month and the entertainment package for £21.00 a month but I cant have them both with free calls for £26.00 a month like other people can. They are unable to offer an explanation for this, but as far as I am concerned, surely if they can offer me broadband for £17 a month, then they can do it for £5 a month. Anyone got any suggestions as to what I can try to get it? I threatened to cancel unless they could do it but they still couldn't. They tried to entice me back with a shiny new sky+ box but still weren't willing to offer the complete package for £26. What gives?0
