I've been a customer since December 2001!
I'll give them a call and see what happens, thanks for the tips and encouragement.0 -
he offered box for £49 and free inst. but I said it's still too much so he said there is another option, refurbished box for free, free instal. and no extra fee a month. As the box comes with 1yr warranty we decided to go for it.
i understand you get a 3 month warranty on the refurbished box and a 12 month warranty on the £49 box so please make sure before you decide

I'm pretty sure you'd need to subscribe to at least 2 mixes at £15 a month to get any sort of offer.0

Well what can I say, called Sky on Tuesday and went for the £49 deal and they said they would install today between 08:00 and 13:00. Got a call at 08:30 to confirm it was still ok to install, they arrived at 11:30 and was done by 12:00. All working fine and magic eye still works in the bedroom, although the old remote will only do channel up and down, unable to do favorites or use the up and down arrows to select channels (may invest in a new sky+ remote at some point). Very happy with the service and looking forward to my new Sky+
Thanks you everyone for all the advice and suggestions.

I got a sky box on a 6 month contract last month for £75 for 2 mixes, so I still have 5 months to go. My questions are:-
1)Has anyone who is still in the contract period managed to get a FREE sky + box without taking out a new 12 month contract???
2)With a standard digibox I do not have to have it connected to the phone line (I should have it connected but sky do not bug you if you unplug it), is having a sky + box plugged into the phone line a must or can I get away with having it unplugged as soon as the installers leave.
Thanks for any info!0 -
jiji i finished my contract mths ago. i simply rang yesterday and they gave me it all!
AND i forgot to say, they are giving me all the movie channels, and my 4 mixes for just £21 for the next 12mths! so technically the movies are costing me £3!0 -
well i was told it was a 12mth guarantee. perhaps theyve put me a new one rather than a refurb. we shall see.
can you keep recordings on the box for as longas you want?0
