Unfortunately bad news i am affraid they are not able to do any thing with your phone line, you would have to contact b.t or whover operates your line to get it activated.
and then you will have to pay them the monthly line rental charge, and maybe a connection fee.The more you listen the more you hear
The more you look the more you see
The more you search the more you find
M.S.E is great and FREE so let's all make the most of it it0 -
Hi there.
Been with Sky for over two years.Called them up and said that it was unfair that ex-customers could get Sky+ for free and that existing customers didn't get any incentives.Said that i would cancel and go back to Virgin (twas Telewest then) and said i would give it year or so with Virgin then see what Sky offers were about at the time.
Immeadiately the guy offered free Sky+ with no hesitation at all! To be installed Monday morning. (Poor installation guy on a Bank Holiday!)
Didn't mention anything about the box.Nothing about being reconditioned so will just see what turns up.
Many thanks!!0 -

I obviously don't explain things very well! I do have a landline working in the house, we just don't have a phone near the skybox. Presume I would just need some sort of extension cable and a 'thing' to split the line into two?:rotfl:0 -
Thanks Inactive, i stand corrected i was reffering to a telephone conversation i had with customer services a number of months ago when my box was violating due to a loose connection they advised me the points as i said them, but i was unsure at the time, thank you for the clarrification. The more you listen the more you hear

hi melg1973,
sorry i misunderstood you, yes indeed they will bring what they need to connect you sky box to your master telephone socket up to 10metres away, they could charge you 0.50p per metre over this but in my experience the engineers never bother. The more you listen the more you hear
The more you look the more you see
The more you search the more you find

Hi
Sky just called to offer me free sky+ & install with no contract. Said i'd still have to pay the £10 sub on existing sky+ box. Anyhow, wanted to know if anyone has ever got multiroom for free when on the 2 mixes package?
I am now aware that sky+ subs stop from 1 July so will take this up with them when they call back!
thanks

Ok, i need a new plan of action. i actually agreed to sky+ for £95 as they also offered to repair/replace my existing box for free so I could use it for multiroom. However, I have to pay by debit/credit card which I don't have so i'm now stuck with an old box that keeps losing the signal, I don't really want to switch to Virgin as I watch sky one quite often. Anyone got any bright ideas?0
