Yipppeee!! Hoorraaay! woooaaah!!
I've just goy my shiney new Sky+ installed FREE OF CHARGE by a lovely installation engineer also FREE. A BRAND NEW 80GB box as the engineer did not have any recon ones in his van when the job came in. Also looks like the one on the flyer so assume it's one of the newest models.
As per my previous posts I'm an existing out of contract subscriber.
Am very very happy, thanks Davilown on the heads up on this one - one very happy family and I'll never miss Desperate Housewives again! Hurraahh!!

I already have sky plus since Feb but i had to pay £99.00 despite threatening to cancel (they did reduce my subscription price for 6 months though).
I called them today and told them i was unhappy that i had been told by them a couple of months previous they never discount sky+ only to find my friend had been sent a leaflet now offering it for free.
I asked if they would upgrade my multiroom box for free to sky plus bearing in mind my dissatisfaction they initally said no and transfered me to customer retention who straight away agreed to do this for me and waive the £10.00 a month multiroom charge for 12 months.
I had it installed today and it was the newer v3 box
you have got nothing to lose so give it a try if you already have sky+ i did not have to start a new 12 month contract and can cancel my extra subscription at any time.
I understand from the customer retention manager the free sky+ box has been offered to cap the amount of people switching to virgin and b.t which was starting to have an impact.
be persistant but polite, and if they refuse ask to speak to the manager of the customer retention departmant. The more you listen the more you hear
The more you look the more you see
The more you search the more you find
M.S.E is great and FREE so let's all make the most of it it0 -
I've just rung and been offered sky+ for £95 and an extra £10 a month for multiroom. I said I was just getting prices at the moment and he's ringing back tomorrow, I'm hoping my hubbies in 'cos he'll probably be able to do better than me I tend to panic and agree to anything.0

I just had a nightmare, can anyone advise?
Rang em up, had a bit of a rant using the same speil everyone else has.
They offered me nothing! I mean nothing!! I told em it wasn't good enough and I wanted to quit.
They processed it and told me my last day with Sky was June 24!!!
I couldn't believe it. What shall I do?0 -

Stay calm - let your Sky subscription end, and get by with just the freeview channels, until... voila... you receive your call from Sky asking you if you'd like to come back - resist a little bit and they'll probably start to make you the offers you were hoping for.
That way, you save some money whilst you're not with Sky, end up with a good deal, and appreciate your Sky viewing more when you return :j
It worked for me anyway! only had to wait for 24 days before being offered free Sky+ with free installation. :T0 -

ring them back up and if possible try and find my old post before hand
if you get the guy john he was brillant
say you are having second thoughts since the kids want to keep it
but you just want to go over what benefits you would get staying RATHER
THAN GOING TO VIRGIN - that seems to be the point were you get offered things. just stay calm and have a bit of a chat with them. I got it for mother
and the account was in her name. the guy knew this but just helped me along
with what I was saying.0 -
