If an existing customer signs up for the free Sky + box are you tied into another 12 month contract ?

I asked this qun and they said you aren't tied in to your sky package, but if you cancel sky subscription then you will be charged £10. month for a year for the sky + box, so I guess if your circumstances changes and you couldn't afford sky anymore, worst case is you re paying £10/ month for the box.

    Thanks for the info.

    2. I'll ring sky and ask them about the freeSat card

A Freesat Card will only give you Ch4 .. Channel5's ( all three of them ) and Sky 3, the rest don't need a card.

Try pulling out your card and you will see what you get without a card.

Also an ex-sub card works as a Freesat Card.;)

Just to let you know, I called about this a few days ago and the engineer called round this morning, expertly installed it and demo'd it for us. Free Sky+. Very happy bunny.

ok , im going to try again today. my oh said yes we can have it but hes not paying any more money out.

last time i was rubbish on the phone and caved so fast when she said no offers on my account

    so heres my plan b

hello i wonder if you could help me , we have very recently come back to sky , my partner had sky for years at his old address but as we were in temp housing for awhile we decided to cancel and come back once settled.

im finding that the programes i want to watch, im just not home to see.
moneys a bit tight with the move so cant afford to pay any extra out BUT a friend has shown me a leaflet she had thru the door and it shows free sky plus for returning customers. (will read details from page 1).

will hush for a reply then.

will wing it from there i think.

sooooo do you think it might work ???? :o

i used the "my kids watch beebies all day and i miss all my programes so i cant justify paying for it and wish to cancel"

However you sound like you are still in contract ?? most people who are arent having much luck either,

    good luck

Rang them last night, told them I was missing my favourites as OH watches sport all the time
They asked if I thought about sky+, told them I couldn't justify the initial outlay and he straight away offered Sky+ box & installation with no monthly fee. Also giving us 3 months half price on our package!

Thanks Op (pressed ya button on 1st page :D)

Phoned the number on the form (even though i dont have an actual form) - said i was a previous customer (Ive never had sky before) and was interested in getting free sky + box - wouldnt let me get it without providing my previous sky account detials or viewing card number! any ideas what i can do? - or is there any good offers for new customers?
