I must have done something wrong!!! I have been a sky customer for at least 7 years, have got sky multi room and pay £53 ish a month. Phoned yesterday to cancel, she tried to sell me sky+ for £99 plus installation. I said no thank you I'd like to cancel she didn't offer me anything else so have she just cancelled my sky. I was going to reduce my package anyway as we don't watch it enough to warrant £53 a month, but as from the 21st of next month we won't have any. Is it worth me phoning them in a few days and saying I've seen a friends leaflet or should I wait until they offer me a deal?

Got the Mrs to phone Sky as it is in her name and they would not deal with me, told her what to say when they answered (thanks for all the help) anyway they offered her free sky+ box 'A' grade which could record upto 20hrs, free install on Saturday and no Monthly cost for the Sky+ just our normal £21. Or we could have a brand new Sky+ box that records upto 40hrs, free install and no Sky+ cost plus Sky anytime for a £50 one off cost. They did say we would also be tied into another 12 Month contract (this was not a problem). As she loves the soaps, desperate housewifes and the new series of grys anatomy is starting again soon we opted for the 40hr box.

Not sure if people are getting this box for free or the 20hr one but we are happy with the result and cannot wait to get it installed as the video player we had was a nightmare, the volume would go from unable to hear it to being deafened.

Thanks again everyone and keep up the good work.

Well my "free" Sky+ was installed yesterday.

    Itwasn't a refurbished box, it was a brand new 160gb PVR3 (80gb actual recording space + 80gb for Anytime).

Engineers were as nice as pie and it was in and working in 20 minutes.

What was great also, was that the original engineer had rung first thing to say he couldn't make it as he was unwell and was Thursday alright? 2hours later, 2 Sky engineers turn up to replace him.:D

Me and my partner are just in the process of buying a house and would be interested in getting sky (preferably sky+) along with their phone and broadband package; i was hoping that as a lot of you guys seem to have dealt with sky for some years you may be able to advise a way of getting a good deal with them. i know they are currently offering all 3 for £26 but do you think their is a better deal that can be negotiated. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've been trying for weeks now to get a good deal as a new customer, and the best I've been offered is a new Sky+ for £99 and free install. There seems to be no way of getting a better deal!

    Hi Bebster,

I tried last night and said if you do it for £99 + free install then i would take it, but they were having none of it. Guess it depends on what person you speak to from Sky. Did you say anything different to what has already been posted to get yours for £99 + free install?
