So we would also need to harmonise other " benefits" which are taken for granted in the UK. Free health care, not in Bulgaria, free school meals, education system, transport infrastructure and of course the English language. People will still come here and of course you can actually claim benefits in the UK for your kids abroad.
I am talking about welfare benefits - like Disability, JSA, etc etc - naturally it would need to be tweaked but if they want to make it pay to work rather than claim benefits - then they should not make it pay to come to England to get benefits rather than anywhere else0 -

Europe is bust. Governments need to cut their spending. Not the time for social reform.0 -

And they can cut it by dealing with claimants in their own country - the minute they move they become someone elses problem so they do not have to worry about it0 -

Most people come to the UK to work, benefits such as tax credits, housing benefit, child benefit are a "bonus" once here. The NHS is almost unique in its free at the point of use concept and IS a major cost to us in healthcare provision to EU nationals whose tax payments are ndver likely to cover the cost of even routine treatment.0 -
What cracks me up most about you Moby is that whenever somebody else posts a News Story you are quick to dismiss it as being from a questionable newspaper ("oh you do realise quoting from the Daily Fail makes you a fool")..........
yet you post this claptrap from a staunch Labour supporting Newspaper.
You just want to have it all your way don't you - bit of a fascist tendency that is.
UKIP are xenophobic scum ...everyone knows....the ***ite is starting to stick methinks. Just look at the types they recruit....do you really want to be associated with that?0 -
The camera doesn't lie;)

I work with EU migrants everyday, have employed dozens not one of them would have any cause to call me hostile to foreigners or racist. UKIP is a means to EU withdrawal which isn't going to mean repatriation or closing our borders. It mean control of our own borders and control of our own laws.0 -

This is pretty much typical of your usual facist anti - democratic rants which seem to be consistently void of any thought or reasoned argument. The camera doesn't lie;)
Well actually it does because it looks more like he is reaching for the camera than giving a Nazi salute - it's certainly not cut and dry from that photo and therefore the news story is a little ludicrous. Even if he was giving a Nazi salute - that would mean one bad apple had gotten into the UKIP party and certainly doesn't represent the policies and views of the party nor do such actions represent my views. You of course fail to mention that UKIP don't have the resources of other parties and therefore have been unable to vet every single candidate. Something else you may want to bear in mind is the fact that UKIP specifically ban and or refuse membership to anybody who has previously been involved with a far right organisation - so if somebody lies on the application form what else do you want Farage to do?
The other parties welcome ex BNP members with open arms FYI.UKIP are xenophobic scum ...everyone knows..
Repeatedly being called scum and xenophobic by people like you is something I deal with on a regular basis. First of all allow me to tell you where to stick that comment (where the sun doesn't shine) and secondly it's water off a ducks back to me since usually those types of comments are made by people whose opinions need not be taken seriously.
It's a shame that you claim to be so enlightened yet lack any common human decency. Didn't you mention before that you worked in the legal profession? If so then surely you should know that that kind of comment is sailing close to the wind with regards to hate crime. I wonder if you would be so keen to call me scum to my face?the ***ite is starting to stick methinks
If you think that - it may be possible that you will be in for a big shock when the result of the local elections are revealed tomorrow. If the poop is sticking then you wouldn't know from the surging support for UKIP. Nothing is "sticking" because there isn't really anything to "stick" - all you are seeing at the moment is the results of the smear campaign organised by the conservative party which, quite frankly is pathetic and stinks of desperation.
I really can't understand why anyone would vote conservative - they are a complete failure and not even close to the party they used to be. Bear in mind that half of the tory party wants OUT of the EU including back benchers but their leading elite won't listen to these views. Not only did Cameron lie in his last promise to give a referendum on the Lisbon treaty but he is at it again - the bill has quietly been dropped! ;

I don't reason with UKIP supporters because that would give credence which is undeserved. All UKIP are worthy of is condemnation and exposure!

Even good old Ken says it as it is. UKIP are made up of xenophobic little Englanders who use the 'control our borders' excuse to hide their own bitterness at not having such a large slice of the cake anymore. Their policies on taxation are a joke and every other policy you'd care to mention is a reflection of the views of middle class male golf club bar room types backed up by the 'working class chav muscle of Paul Nuttall types:-

Regarding your gains tonight.....I don't really care because it will be the tories that take the hit....but in any event you'll be here today and gone tomorrow because you don't have any genuine values or principles to back up the xenophobia!0 -

here today and gone tomorrow
Lets look at the history of "protest vote" third parties in the UK....
SDP/Liberals -
- At one point in late 1981, the party had an opinion poll rating of over 50%
-In the 1983 general election, the SDP/Liberal Alliance won more than 25% of the national vote
The Green party
-The Party's greatest ever success came at 1989 European Elections, where the Green Party won 2,292,695 votes and received 15% of the overall vote.
Liberal Democrats
-In the general election held on 6 May 2010, the Liberal Democrats won 23% of the vote and 57 seats in the House of Commons.
-Now heading for electoral annihilation...
And so on to....
UKIP
-In the run-up to the 2013 local elections, UKIP has done well in opinion polls and put up a record number of candidates for the party.
- Likely to see big gains and a decent number of wins in the locals and European elections
- But like all protest vote parties, this one is destined to fade away into oblivion soon enough.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
-- President John F. Kennedy”0
