Given that the EU is looking to establish a free trade deal with Japan it is unthinkable that it would be looking to exclude one of its largest and its closest trading partner from a free trade arrangement. The EU already has a free trade deal with Turkey.
If we leave we will have to negotiate trading terms with EU and we will not know if the terms are good enough to prevent overseas manufactures moving until then.

We would negotiate them before we leave, the same as if Scotland leaves the UK and will need to negotiate a deal to remain in the sterling area and indeed the EU itself.

We won't see a mass exodus anything like that from 1998 to 2003 which saw the biggest slump in UK manufacturing employment ever and the biggest increase in our trade deficit ever.0 -
