electrified2011. What a nightmare. I think we've all ended up in a mess through alcohol (those or us that partake) and often it's only luck that keeps us out of serious trouble. I suspect this outfit pretty much know what they can get away with; and I've no doubt they will get away with it, this time and again with unsuspecting punters.
It's 5 grand and in 5 years will hopefully be a distant memory. You may even laugh about it one day (trust me on that).
Take it on the chin and take some consolation from the fact that much worse things have happened to drunk people with lifelong impact. This hopefully is a short term problem that you'll learn from.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
I the OP coming back? It's 5 grand and in 5 years will hopefully be a distant memory. You may even laugh about it one day (trust me on that).
Maybe, maybe not - I bought a car nearly 20 years ago for about £600. It was a pile of crap and that was obvious to anyone with their eyes open. I sold it for scrap after a few months. Still p'd off with myself now but I suppose you live and learn!0 -
I don't think its even possible to spend £5000 in a strip club, is it?! What on earth did he buy??0

Get a statement and see exactly what you bought. Also, get a price list from the club and make sure everything tallies up. You may have been mischarged (e.g. £2000 instead of £20) with them knowingly you wouldn't be able to see the difference being drunk and taken advantage of you. Or they may have added extras onto the bill that you could not have bought and verify it with CCTV (e.g., buying ten bottles of champagne and clearly not being given the bottles as seen in the footage). You may have a case if this happened. Good luck!0

That rather depends on the club and what he was buying (or supposed to have bought. For example -
http://www.fluidlondon.co.uk/venue/city_of_london/whites_gentlemens_club_w1pWe proudly stock the best champagnes known from the region, prices start at £45.00 for House,up to £275.00 for Crsytal,we also stock Dom Perignon, Krug,Moet,Lanson, Laurent Perier rose', and many more
It's only 18 bottles of Crystal and that doesn't allow for the dances or anything else he might have been charged for.
I've seen traders get through a hell of a lot more than £5k in a night in bonus season.0 -
nightmare, i'd check the prices, although in a club in prague i remeber the ladies wanted a bootle of fizz that was £120, about £4 in the local supermarket..
a few hundred is a lesson learned, in my local town a lapdance is i'm told a tenner, so did you have five girls dancing for you all night..0
