its was closed some time ago, but still within the 6 years. I got rid of everything when closed acc, not thinking I would need them anymore.0 -
I have been trying to claim my bank charges back form Yorkshire Bank for over a year, I even tried using a firm at one point but they were useless.
I recently sent the bank a hardship claim including a financial statement from the C.A.B. and pointing out that they had also taken charges from some benefits.
They know how dire my circumstances are but have told me they have an EIGHT WEEK turnaround??? I would like to point out that it's two weeks to Christmas and I'm struggling to pay bills let alone buy presents. I telephoned the Quality Advice Unit (ironic) and they advised me to go to my branch which I did. I got nothing but a "Don't know why you've been told to come down, there's nothing we can do."
I know of several people who have had there money within a week (Halifax) yet YB expect me to believe they need 8 weeks. I have called into my local newspaper office and asked if they'd be interested in doing an article so we'll see what happens there. Short of chaining myself to Yorkshire Bank head office in Leeds (and trust me I will try anything) what else can I do??????0 -
dont worry iv been to my bank today and they said i had to pay £560 in fees on a unplanned overdraft in december or the £15.00 a day fee will continue little theiving idiots so i now have no choice but to throw my whole wage at them so im guna habve a shi8ty xmas aswell0

i claimed hardship thirteen week s ago and still have nt heard anything yorkshire bank are useless:mad: still waiting on halifax claim
 i hate csa0 -
Same situation as Slim, claimed back in Aug heard nothing. Halifax must be the worst bank on earth. Was so easy to claim with the others, just one letter, but Halifax oh no no no they have to be difficult. cant stand them!!
I have heard some people been claiming after me and got their money, so very unfair. I agree they should not need 8 weeks but look and a lot of people on here we have been waiting much longer. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

easier said then done dudes i have only just begun to write my letter to lloyds tsb for the charges there forcing me to pay in december 530 in total they gave me a measly £30.00 back and im still rolling in a fee of £15
a day i cant stop it0 -
Guys, I have read on here about waiting further than 8 weeks. If they have not dealt with it by then then go to the Financial Ombudsman Service. The FSA Waiver on Bank Charges is the link on my signature. It gives the elements of Financial Hardship that the banks should consider and is on PAGE 11. I am afraid Branches of all banks cannot help on Financial Hardship Bank Charges Claims as they are all centralised. They can empathise and they can explain how charges work and they can cancel Direct Debits if necessary to avoid further potential charges but they can never refund charges based on Financial Hardship.0

Halifax said they have said they will look at hardship cases, why say that if they are not looking? I can't complain to the FOS, I have been told by them themselves as the account is joint and I don't know where my ex is to get his signature. So what do I do?No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

I've decided I'm going to put on my own little protest at Yorkshire W*nk. I'm going to stand outside with posters and hand out leaflets to customers and come closing time I'm going to stage a sit in (don't know how long I'll last without a fag though:)) If only to raise awareness of how YB are treating their customers who are suffering such hardship, 8 weeks is an eternity when you're poorer than a church mouse.0
