  • Hello all, i heard about reclaiming sometime ago but i presumed it was a hoax of some sort.

My bank (Yorkshire) has overcharged me many times, and luckily, at times has removed charges during numerous phone conversations.

    My questions are:

    1. Am i too late to start the reclaim precedure?

    2. Has anybody else started the precedure in Aug/Sep?

Thanks in advance, i wait with letter poised and hope in my heart.

  • Would be really interested to hear how this went hedgehog...my hearing to have my judgement set aside is on 22nd October..it would be nice to have some hope from your case!
  • Having only recently joined the site i have printed off the template by Martin and was going to post my request to Yorkshire bank PLC head office next week.

As the thread title suggests, am i too late?

There is no problem with me getting my hands dirty and ruffling feathers at my branch.

    Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: also i have 2 accounts i need checking through, do i post £20 instead of £10?

  • If both accounts are with the Yorkshire and are in your name then you only need to pay one £10 fee, but make sure you list all the relevant accounts in your request so you don't give them an excuse to 'forget' one.

As to whether it's worth starting or not it seems that some courts are staying proceedings of their own volition whereas others aren't. You've only a tenner to lose by seeing what your position is.

I would not bother ruffling feathers at your branch, not worth the hassle or your time.
  • Thanks for the quick reply..

Hi everyone this is my first time posting and i hope you lovely people can help me out.

Went through MCOL to claim charges yorkshire bank and they acknowledged the claim but never entered a defence. I entered a default judgement after the 28 days.

Received a letter today from Yorkshire Bank (6 days after judgement) saying they had received notification and are applying for a stay due to an 'administration error'. They also say they need my consent to apply for a stay but i haven't heard of that before.

Should i write them a letter and if so what should it say?

What should i do next? any help or advice would be appreciated.
