You've definitely got a problem with basic maths, checkout the numbers, maybe you should 'Do a bit of work, get at the real facts'.Richie-from-the-Boro wrote: »National mortality rate [ 6.5 deaths per 1000 ] WRAG group [ 137 per 1000 ] - grow up - posted a year ago on these boards, nowt to do with the Disability & Benefits group, take it elsewhere. rebel, take it elsewhere, but your starter for ten is what is the current statistical difference between the UK National mortality rate - and any group you choose to consider. For me I'm outta here before I start spitting at the dartboard and being all 'wellard'.0 -
'Empty vessels make the most noise', keep it up.bigboybrother wrote: »I think that a more worthwhile petition would be one for the government to order an enquiry into the needless deaths that are caused every year to pigeons.
It is barbaric that people put pigeons in a crate and ship them 100's of miles away from their comfy nest and when they get to where they are going they are made to fly all the way back home and have to do without food and water until they get home.
Cruel it is.
Many die in the process of exhaustion, dehydration and starvation.0 -
The 'process' is putting ill and vulnerable people through an ordeal the 'Assessment' regardless of their conditions. When you get a moment research the ATOS manual on Assessments. What you had written and what you meant were two different things, so that's a fail.If it is about ATOS causing deaths is that not the same as ATOS killing them? What an excellent point to help your argument, semantics on the english verse.
You still haven't explained this "process" that is causing their deaths (is that better for you)0 -

However, we would expect the mortality rate to be higher for sick people (who are too ill to work, or only fit for certain jobs etc) than the national average.Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
By your own admission we don't know why these people died, hence you cannot apportion blame.
It is tragic when someone dies before their time, but in order to make a change you need to present facts, not maybes.
However there is a trend showing and its not a good trend if fact is a very worrying one.
This is now longer a small sample of cases and the regularity of which it is now manifesting itself should be ringing the warning bells.
On the face of it, it seeems fairly obvious the the people who died where in very poor health when they were interrogated by ATOS.Child of a Fighting Race.0 -

Atos deserves all that is coming to it, from Petitions to MP's like Michael Meacher speaking up in the Commons. It is criminal what is going on.
People don't object to RESPONSIBLE reform but these so called Reforms are irresponsible and expose vulnerable people too far too many costs not least of a badly designed unjust system, with the tories trampling all over the safety net they have taught you to hate.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Just because MSE doesn't believe it doesn't mean it is not valid or doesn't exist. The evidence out there will challenge even the most stolid Tory on these Boards who vote Tory despite of continuous assaults on their personal finances and safety net by their cuddly pals who love unregulated markets.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
