Yes its all gravy in Skint towers.
Step one though, the rental of the other house.
Its looking promising as the bloke who came to look was fairly happy with it I think.

Month 24, day 26. My husband woke me this morning heralding the coming of the snows like it was a major disaster. The less than half an inch of the white stuff created a mini mayhem in Skint Towers. My snowboots were retreived from the depths of a cupboard and my son was dressed like a cross between an alpine skier and a convalescing leper. Young dog, whose first glimpse of the snow was this morning, walked with trepidation through it and periodically attempted to make sense of madness by of course, eating it.
I wasnt allowed to apply much makeup, this would conflict with the plan hatched by my husband to get us on the road and beat the snow. All under half an inch of it.
Off we went, me, a dishevelled figure dressed in an eclectic blend of office wear and alpine ski wear. My husband, in a suit with a pair of sturdy boots. Also my son, coccooned in a five layer survival outfit, with thermal underwear.
We got into our land rover. My husband had been out earlier to warm it up. "Ideal for the snow, this" said my husband. I grunted that we had set off early enough and kitted out enough to allow us to drive an invalid carriage to work.
Off we set. Now we live on a hill. As we descended towards the childminders the snow got less and less. Myself, sherpa ten sing and the papoose got out of the car and less than a five minute drive away - there was no snow. We looked like we were going to a really rubbish fancy dress.
Now I am at work and I have been here since 730am, so am having a break to type this. There is no snow in town. Its just a little bit damp.
We look like right twits.
I have had to show facebook pictures other villagers have posted to justify my crazy dress sense.
Money news, nothing to report. A plod on toward payday now.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
