However, only went and paid off Amex!!
House is carpeted!!
Another possible tenant viewing on Monday!!!
Also got letter allowing me to rent this house out from Housing Association!!
been soooo busy!!
Well done you - especially for getting rid of AMEX. Hope all are feeling better after the chicken pox!0 -
Month 23, day 10Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Hes much improved now! My laments of I shall be on here and I will update, were utter tosh. Sorry!!
However I am a busy lady and am here now.
Ebay is selling; current bids are sitting at 4.00. It’s something. Will be putting it to the most expensive debt – once the fees are met. The vanquis card, which is now cut up and in the bin, is soon to be followed by my capital one card. I need to leave just a little lifeline in it- so I shall plan to chop it up on 1st April.
Bills are paid, most of these by direct debit. I have very little money in my account, however, I should get child support in next week and this will maintain my minimum balance which, five days after payday, isn’t really maintained.
I will be showing someone round the house tonight with a view to letting it. I am asking for 100 a week, which will be wonderful additional income, added to that the fact that I won’t need to pay the council tax & water rates and that is going to feel marvellous.
It will mean I can build up my cushion – once I have done so I can start paying extra off my Vanquis card.
My mini targets are in place, I just need money to meet them!!!
Also have a gent from British Gas visiting on Friday, when we can get a price for a boiler we know where we are and where we need to be and what we need to do to get there.
While I have been typing ebay is bid up to £7.50!! I shall continue putting words to screen J Perhaps one of the hardest things at the moment is dealing with the amount of sheer work I have to do. At the other house I have things to put back in place, I need to make some House to Let signs for the window, I need to look into the legal side and get the electrician and the gas safety certificate. DH still hasn’t changed the mortgage and I have more or less sorted the landlord insurance, but we need to know when we need to start it from - perhaps mid-way through the month – its slipping again as we get the snagging list- argh, mustn’t lose hope it is moving in the right direction.
I have a Neilsen handscanner now. I am scanning like there is no tomorrow. Its all really exciting and I am looking forward to my first reward.
Tonight I am at dog training with young dog – then I am showing someone else round the house. I don’t mind though, it would be easier with an agent, but I wouldn’t make so much money!
Found a tenancy agreement online too.
If anyone has any hints and tips re tenants I would be interested to hear them!
Other than that I am trying a low carb diet. As well as cutting down on sugar and fat, the great bulker upper is being addressed.

Glad to see you have banished the Amex debt. Good luck with the viewing tonight. Hope the prospective tenant likes the house.Never Knowingly Understood.

Yey to AMEX Skint !! :T
Hope the viewings go well tonight, keeping everything crossed for you.
Am I missing something? What on earth is a Neilson handscanner ? My DD2 ( special child that she is !) is obsessed with scanning things, insists I use the scanners in the supermarket and even downloaded a free scanner app so that she should scan things indoors and see where she (meaning me !) could buy them cheaper !! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I have a Nielsen scanner too, I usually cash out in cinema tickets as rewards. Mrs PG, you have to scan all shopping bought and you accumulate points which can then be translated into lots of different things XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

When I signed up it was specifically to do the scanning, not sure if you can link to it if you signed up for something else?? They then delivered it by post with full instructions etc. It plugs in to a phone line but they give you all the technology to do so. XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Month 23 Day 12 I found out about a Neilsen handscanner on a freebies email, perhaps looking on the freebies boards here will help.
Ive not worked out how to cash out but my whole family loves the scanning. So if nothing else its a cheap form of home entertainment!!
Well, Tuesday night at the other house, I somehow managed to break a bone in the top of my foot, so i am wearing a stretchy thing as its a small bone and isnt worthy of a plaster cast.
I only fell off a step!
My old doggie isnt well again. Shes only eating periodically. Will need to see how she goes. Made some small card payments after paying ebay fees and allowing half the profit to help with my minimum balance. At the moment it feels like I wont be anywhere near saving for the deposit as it will be half of whats left after the minimum balance, the rest will go to cards. Waiting til I am not paying that council tax anymore!!
Making some house to let signs. I will pop one up in the local post office and one in the house window, and one on the notice board at work. Will ave my ink too as I will get Dh to print them off at work.
Right will get on with some of that stuff and call back later!Trying to shift that debt!0
