Hi. I did the Nielson scanning and surveys years ago. I won £500 in one of their surveys which was great as I filled in what I watched on tv every day. I hated the scanning though and only did it for about 6 months as it drove me nuts. I might try again though as I buy much less these days5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -

Month 23 Day 17
Hi all and thanks. I too am jealous of the win MiT ! My broken foot and I are in a little bit of a lull at the moment. I am not making as much money as I want to on ebay, and what little I do is supporting us at the moment. I did however put up 2 lengths of wallpaper last night.
Cue the Skint Penny Pinching Plan.
This requires even tighter belts than Kim Kardashian.
50 a week for groceries. 20 a week for electric and 10 a week for school meals. 20 a week for coal.
The husband and I are committed to making a positive change.
Low carb diet is going well. I am having cheap cereal at work to keep me full. Its full of fibre.
I’ve cut down on the wine consumption. I have a couple of bottles a week. I had been on a bottle a day. That’s not cheap either and nor is it diet!! That has been kicked into touch as well. I am hoping this means I look thinner. I really don’t. Apart from perhaps my other foot, which compared to the swollen one looks like it could belong to Kate Moss. That’s Kate Moss if she lived on pie and chips.
The weather is heating up so perhaps we will be using less coal – the fire is on its last legs so while this is a cheap method of heating with a fire in almost constantly on the colder days we have gone through three bags a week its not proving to be the most efficient.
As the house is going to be a rental within the next few months I am changing it to gas anyway, which seems to be a minefield of convoluted hoops to jump through. I will ask the husband to perform some of the hoop jumping as I am sure he can manage that.
The last few pieces of the skint puzzle need to slot in to place. The fitter healthier lifestyle manifesting into financial fitness with the added incentive of better quality of life … I suppose I could equate my current lifestyle as a session at the gym. Building up good lifestyle practices is turning up for training as well as working on balances being the treadmill.
The spending diary is at the ready. Hope we have some money left over. That’s the plan.
Any ebay we make can go onto the cards still once the bills are met. Tonight, MIL is feeding us so no spends for food required today, just a small amount needed to buy laundry things….
As prior to the budget, we have a mini budget, of £150 to last us 16 days.
Just returned from the feted trip and we spent £5.50. out of our grocery budget, which for this week is £20. £14.50 remaining.
Ive had yoghurts and cereal for my food at work. Ebay is currently bid up to £12. Plan for the rest of the week, finish wallpapering. Paint the walls (as it’s a textured paper) get more stuff to ebay sorted and either listed in live or listings created ready to copy and paste later.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
