Hey SBO don't leave us! I haven't read the other thread but I do know how unhelpful and well downright depressing and rude other threads in this site can be..so I can guess...

I guess some people have such a guided life that unlike the rest of us, their life never wanders from the path of pres-set destiny.
On the other 'side' your question regarding your wish to convert your RTB mortgage into a BTL one should have generated the response of A) depends on whether or not the RTB docs have any caveat in prohibiting the rental of the property foe x years after purchase, & b) ask your mortgage provider.
Instead of helpful answers, you came under fire for doing what loads of folks do. Buying a Council house then a short while later, renting it out for the term of the RTB period. Perhaps those snipping at you should check out the forum ettiqutte rules.Never Knowingly Understood.

I know RR where do these folks get off? Seriously!! On the diaries you get to know people and you know why they make certain decisions and it rips my knitting when people are so judgemental. If they can't be nice they should keep quiet. Those posters did not have 1 decent bit of advice to give ...........***annoyed***5 Year plan. Month 24 day 25. It beggars belief. Never mind, I have sorted it out.
The news is good.
1. Someone else has got wind of the fact we are letting the terraced house. As its a popular area, they have texted me today and are coming tonight for a look.
2. Spoke to the Halifax. They are fine about it in principle. They stated I would need written permission from the Housing association for permission to let.
3. Contacted the Housing association. They said it was ok. They are putting it in writing so I can put to the Halifax on file.
So the next project is all lined up!
So, once the other house is finished and let I need to get this house in order so it can be let too. It will take time to do but I will get it sorted.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
