Poor Keith, I know how he feels with the stress. As for your haircut you are worth it too
so don't feel guilty and enjoy having hair that does as it's told until it grows out (a bit like mine right now......)

Poor Keith - I hope he's feeling better soon.
Our family moggy was diagnosed with stress during a visit to the vet for his annual flu injection. The old vet, a mate of Dad's, had retired so it was this new, young one there. Now my Dad could be quite gruff about puddy at times, but if something was truly wrong, he'd have done anything for him. However, Dad heard 'stress' and promptly said "I'm taking him home".
Honestly, the most stressful thing that cat had to do all day was chose what bed to sleep on! And then come downstairs for gravy beef - twice a week. Fat, pampered and lazy - and very cute (and long gone).0 -
Month 24 day 20. That made me chuckle, JAT. My dad is so similiar... and there are many pampered pets behind gruff dads it seems.
Keithy and his stress are the least of my worries now. He is having some nice dinners consisting of sachets of teeny food with some lovely sauces. Mixed into that is his drugs... so following the carefully prepared food, he luxuriates in a kind of opium fog, washing some areas with a detached air or staring into the middle distance in front of our fire. Others sit with him, and occasionnaly, take over the washing duties. At that point Keith, will accomodate them by rolling over so they can clean his tummy.
If Anthea is on grooming duties she can get a little over zealous when it comes to coat care. Whereas Viktor will tease any snags out carefully, Anthea things nothing of bracing herself on the prone Keith and leaning back while tugging with all her might. Keith is so spaced, he just looks mildly put out, so its up to us to intervene incase this exacerbates more stress.
She also has been known to groom my husbands beard. Occasionnally, she bites his chin. If he makes a noise she looks mighty disgruntled. Its cat service, at its best.
Anyway. moneywise, nothing to report. I am staggering towards payday, slowly.
I will update my signatures and whatnot.
A couple of non paying ebay people - pah. Other than that, happy hump day. I am having a night off painting tonight... back to it tomorrow.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
I need HELP. And not just for the obvious reasons..... I am in a RTB house. Mortgaged via Halifax. I want to change it to BTL. I had taken out RTB in February 2013. If anyone knows the answer, and I shall be investigating... please help this deranged individual!!Trying to shift that debt!0

Month 24 day 21 Well, I have been judged and found to be greedy. I shall stay here in my corner of the forum where everyone knows the journey and how we have got to where we are. Rather than helping me with my query, my motivation for wanting to convert and whatnot was queried.
Its ok though...
Other news, an ebay person paid. I am en route to my minimum balance philosophy, therefore I have made the most miniscule of payments to things. This is reflected in my signature. All steps in the right direction.
The only provisio on the RTB is that we dont sell within 5 years. I began my RTB journey in August 2012, and it didnt complete until February 2013. Anyway, we are where we are. Each of us builds our own future. I have paid full rent on a house which I have worked hard on and exercised my right to buy. Ive got big dogs and big children and I want a bigger downstairs space. I am looking at my options, and I am not causing the detriment to anyone else. Most folks in my street are on benefits, there are 2 empty houses as people are concerned about bedroom tax so it isnt as though I have taken away social housing.
My house is well maintained the front gardens are manicured and I keep the path area out side my home litter and weed free.
Serves me right for straying out of the debt free area!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Stay here - we'll be nice to you.0

I took the time to read your other posts and its like those posting on the other forum have no comprehension (or don't want to have that comprehension) that people aren't necessarily a nuclear family these days. They come with 2nd marriages and previously-owned homes (and multiple kettles
) and so on. Trying to make it work with the home situation you have now - and you made it very clear you'd worked hard to get to where you are.
So sorry you got burned.
Mind you, I sometimes think I'm going to get told to get off the DFW as I'm not in debt. I've got the savings, but at the expense of the house. I bought 'small' (1 bedroomed flat) so as not to overstretch myself as its just me and I couldn't rely on my parents to bail me out if I couldn't afford the mortgage. I know I can work on things to cut costs - I've never (I'll say this quietly) changed utilities suppliers and don't take regular meter readings, so they rely on estimates. Its mainly 'cos all the paperwork is in mounds. That, and the fact that of the two gas meters outside, I can't get the utility company to say which one is mine. OK, I haven't pushed the issue.
I'll work on getting me healthy, slowly tidy the 'house of grime' and bit by bit, hopefully things will come together.
You look after yourself0 -
Thanks.
I think I will speak to the halifax and see whats what.
Judge not lest thee be judged. Etc. We on this forum, whatever our circumstances, work hard to get our houses in order.Trying to shift that debt!0
