30 months to no debt - an Optimistic Journey

  • Month 24 day 14 I have been awarded an accolade at work, which is worth 25 pounds. I am over the moon and will use it for the purposes of the greater good. It can be used in shops and I can use it to get paint and things!! We also booked a weekend away in October to Centreparcs. Looking forward to that too!! Deposit is paid, and its the closest we will get to a holiday so will make the most of it.

Due to the house I feel like my debt levels are soaring, but will continue plodding on with ebay, and making the payments. Means to an end. Due to a mini depression last night I was not as productive as I could have been. Fighting with the teenager and seeking solace in a bottle of red makes me give my head a shake today. I have to carry on with meeting my small goals to meet my larger goals and to try and get perspective.

Onwards and upwards. Theres ebay to post tonight, the keen anticipation of the next free listing and the new month to herald free 99p stuff and the realisation that once the next month is out we will have a home ready for occupation!

Well done, you're doing so well. Don't let a blip like last night make you fed up - it happens to us all. The time will come very soon when the house has a tenant and that will be a major positive.
Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T
  • Cheers - shes mad keen as well, wants to know when I can be there so she can come and look.

I just feel like I am losing ground a little before I start...

Hopefully you will end-up with a decent tenant real soon SbO. Then you can start to really get stuck in to your debts.

  • Month 24 Day 15 Howdy Mit me love. That house is a bit like Petrocellis wall, it seemed to never get any further on. Eeh blast from the past, half the folks wont know what i am on about (Tv detective series in the 70s, he was building a house very slowly while living in a caravan and solving crime) anyway. Ahem. Yes.

She loved the house but wants to bring her own furniture. Not really thrilled with that idea, and she will let me know. So I will take it as an interest but I will continue on my path, as I said to her, I will be letting it on 1st March, whatever happens.

I worked on the stairs last night and they are just about ready to paint now. I used the black and decker moouse and it seems much improved.

I also packaged a couple of bits of ebay ready to post tonight, and did the usual routine of cleaning, washing and tidying at home.

Once I have cleared my Amex, which I have enjoyed doing it as it has been manageable, I am going to give myself Mini goals. While I make the additional regular payments off my next thing which is the loan, I will have little 100 pounds target on the next debt. Should keep me keyed in.

Ebay wise, I am waiting of another free listing. I also have to work through some things I have already photographed so I can create listings in word and copy and paste, I will try and do one a day....

Todays plan, cat to vet, (poor Keith has a urine infection) and then might do ironing and ebay.

The weekend is going to be busy!

At least if she supplies her own furniture you won't be liable for replacing damaged items.
However, I am not sure, but I believe that there may be some legal difference between furnished and unfurnished lets. Best check that out.

  • Month 24 Day 18 Cheers Patman, will do. Not sure how keen she is, she hasnt come back to me. However I will carry on with the plan.

News on Keith the cat, he has stress. Its caused him to wee blood, effectively, which has made him more stressed. My stress was accrued in paying the bill, but like Cheryl Cole, hes worth it.

His fur is way shinier as well.

I had a haircut, it wasnt a cheap one, it was a regular priced one. I feel a certain amount of guilt about that. However, I have a haircut once in a blue moon. My fur is also shiny.

We worked on the house and its coming along lovely. I am going every night this week, with a shorter visit tonight (due to ebay packaging) but will keep at it. I am also going to take the teenage daughter with me one night, shes ace at painting ceilings.

Last night on ebay we made 60 pounds. I need it in my bank account at the moment to prop things up as I am moving towards keeping a minimum balance. Thats the plan anyway.

Then the night before payday I will empty the lot to a most expensive debt. But hey, I will get there.

Child Support is on its way in, that will help. 17 days to payday...
