Sorry I have been away, am back now. I didnt want to be and had wholly committed to money saving and community and wanted to contribute and get more hints from the lovelies on here...

Truth to all, they found a growth behind my ear. I didnt want to cause any upset or run the risk of upsetting anyone around Christmas. It is probably unfounded, but I was being careful - didnt want to spoil any festivities. Headaches are now gone. The lump is benign and is beginnning to shrink.

    Thanks be....

Still havent got a start date for the new job, waiting patiently. As my life has been a maelstrom I reserve the right to have a delayed start! I registered to try and get on the Neilsen scanning panel. I imagine its easier to get a garden party invitation to Buckingham Palace! I have regular hospital and doctors appointments at the moment and encountered a delay finishing the house off and I am working heavens hard to get back on track.

Moneywise, I paid off 2 more debts in the interim.
My solicitors debt is now gone, and a TFS loan. I have only 522 pounds to pay off Amex and that will be gone too. I had to take out a short term little loan when I was first ill but I will be repaying that and overpaying it with the amex payment.

Ebay continues apace, with classic items and not so classic items flying through royal mail. Keenly awaiting the next free listing date!

Will be back tomorrow, and will catch up with a diary a day at least :)

  • Month 21 Day 4 - Thanks for all your welcome backs. I am pleased to be back and have some other news too...

We have a carpenter working on the house we are letting. I know, I know. This has taken ages. However, we are on the home straight. 90% of the decorating has been completed. I am ordering the carpet on Thursday night and then we are all about sorting everything and I am painting like there is no tomorrow, despite being absolutely full of cold.

All our energies are going now on that house. I am paying so much money out for an empty house. The council tax is charged at 150% and it is so demoralising but I debated and hummed and haaed and decided that instead of paying another loan off I would finally get it finished.

I will need to keep my head down and keep working. It is tough with a toddler a full time job and to scrimp and save. We have managed to pay our last contractor only because we had paid off a loan. It is looking like we should be all done and dusted by 1st March.

We are finding plenty of things we need to store in the loft and potentially sell. All systems are most definately go!
