Month 26, day 16. i thought I had posted yesterday, i remember writing the flaming thing, but like many things it seemed to disappear into the ether. I cant remember what I blathered on about. Apart perhaps from the painter still not starting due to car trouble but I put him off to next week.
Harvested some radish and beetroot last night . Picked some more gladioli and replenished the vase and swiftly pulled the bulbs to store. Purchased for a pound some winter beans so will plant those out in october. Hope they are magic.
Weather due to change here as of tomorrow just in time for clearing the garden at the other house. Should be muddy and fun (!!) Waiting to hear from the union regarding the salary thing and slightly demoralised by crazy computer systems at work at the moment... No matter, on we go.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Gardening sounds like it has gone well! We've had a few days of good weather, which is unusual! You may get the vanish/persil out when you get home today!!
Did the union say how long it'd be til you heard from them?Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
The union said it should be actioned by now, I just need an appointment to raise my greivance, but I know some big negotiations are taking place right now and are taking precedent.
I will fire off an email today stating thats the route I want to follow.

Happy Friday and have a fab weekend!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Month 26, day 20. Wow, only ten days to month 25!
Spent an epically busy weekend sorting various gardens and doing a push for potty training. My son likes his nappies. Little scruff.
Saturday roast meal was pheasant thanks to uncle Tommy, roast potatoes - roast beetroot and cabbage. Totally free as it was a half cabbage my mum didnt use and the veg were from the garden.
Followed by a pudding we bought in Sainsburys. We spent over 200 pounds in Sainsburys. Ridiculous. We did however purchase birthday presents and plenty ingredients for batchcooking. DH made over 48 meals on Sunday and I went to the other house as a follow up to Saturdays slog to do some more clearing.
There was a point where I became so disheartened that I burst into tears. I had spent Saturday clearing the garden and I was spending Sunday doing it too. DH had suggested that he start the batchcooking as I like gardening.
Now, I like the kind of gardening where you are faffing about with turnips or sorting some pansies. This was heavy physical labour 2 days in a row. My poor 40 something feeble womanness couldnt take the sustained work.
I tried to llift a bag of aggregate, my arms already aching I was onto a loser. I got a burning pain on one side of my neck, lost my footing and scraped my hand on a dried out bramble. I didnt lift it.
I think it would have been much nicer if we could have split the work. One do one lot of batch cooking while the other had a shift at the gardening.
When I got home, I began to clear an area behind the veg patch where my shed shall be placed.
I also tidied the borders, cut some gladioli and replenished the vase and threw out the paddling pool. It was punctured anyway. I am going to continue to potter in the garden and the house and spend one day a week beginning to decorate DDs room.
I think thats a good plan.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
*hug* flying your way!!
Hope you're feeling better today. Yeah, maybe split the work between you both next time.
