  • Month 26 - day 27. Thanks all for your comments, I am not really anything special at all, but I am worthy of some respect purely as I am her mam, and I am certainly not someone who should be looked down on.

Pie fest was a mixed bag as my sisters family couldnt attend, funnily enough due to an errant teenage girl. It really must be the change in the weather.

My husband is the proud recipient of 6 bottles of sauce, 80 quid and four bottles of rum. He loves his condiments alongside the rum. As pie night progressed, more condiments were opened.

My interview is cancelled again. Not one to be a prophet of doom but they dont seem keen to do it.

No matter, I shall carry on.

My old golden retriever is quite ill. Shes on a special diet and has very little energy. Just hoping we can get her back on track. 2 pills a day at the moment.

  • Month 26 - day 28. My retreiver is very ill. My husband is working from home and making her walk about, eat and drink. I dont know how much longer we should do this. She is in no pain but is not right. She is 14. I love her so much and am so torn.

    Shes my lovely girl.

Moneysaving wise I did some more turnip work last night there are some ready to pull and there are also some peas ready to pick. I may begin picking and start freezing. Means I can start getting winter beans in the ground. Will go out at lunchtime for more canes.

Had an interview this morning and I am not holding out much hope. Its four grades above my current role and I am really sticking my neck out.

Also am going to have to engage the union. My terms and conditions are being changed so the business doesnt have to pay me money it owes me. Not on my watch. :) Away on a course next week so need to get it sorted.

  • Hi Skint, I have the same problems here but with a 14 yr old MALE teen. Just as bad, and he's just as vicious with his words. I stopped talking to many members of my family a few years back because they were good at spreading nasty rumours, being spiteful and jealous and dividing my family. I'm much better off without them and before they got to my son as they did me many years ago.

I really hope your doggie is ok??? :( it's awful when they get ill but even more so when they are older as you tend to predict the worst outcome. My poor cat died when she was 17 I'd had her from a young age and was heart broken for so long that Duke was the next pet I had after her, and that was 10 years later! Big hugs xxx

Kids are vile at times. :(

  • Month 26 day 29. Tomorrow is the last day of month 26. Time is flying by! My old dog is still with us, a last ditch attempt of steroids and special food, so far no change to report. As she isnt in pain we are tempted to give it as long as we can. Will see how she goes.

Moneywise, bleugh. I dont know when the painter is coming I dont know whats happening with anything at the moment. Away on a course next week. Expenses will need to be reclaimed. Urgh at cashflow.

  • I hope there is a change in the doggie and she holds on a little longer for you all especially if you're going away next week. Sorry about the 'bleurgh' money matters, at least you'll have a week's worth of expenses to claim ;)
