Booked the car for mondays trip away and have changed the painters appointment and I have listed ebay - back to that old chestnut and im making a list of things to do tonight including freezing peas and chilis which I have grown

  • So sorry to hear about your old friend. I'm sure she's had a marvellous life with you and you'll help her to make a good end if need be.

    Sending hugs

  • Month 25 - day 1. Thanks both. She is still with us. Just. She rallied a little yesterday but is finding it too tiring today.
I left a short and clipped post yesterday, so sorry. Just because I was so so busy.

Booked car for trip away again, this time I have a confirmation. Spent a few hours chasing everything around. Waste of time!!

Moneywise its payday. Have had to ensure we can cover my travel. Expenses will be about 550 pounds I imagine. Its a lot to cover. Credit cards are being used to support it. The stark realisation is that in just over a couple of years I will be debt free, this will be even quicker when the union manage to gete the money back from the business which they owe me.

Unfortunately have had no news regarding my job application which unfortunately means it isnt being pursued. Ratbags!

Weekend plans are more ebaying, planting and gardening. Some harvesting, freezing and sorting ironing packing and wine drinking.

  • Month 25, day 11. my dog has gone, last Monday. Absolutely devastated. I was away on a course in Manchester. Sorry for being away but I was so manically busy.

My expenses claim is in. nearly 700 pounds. Hope they can pay it quickly as things are dire!

Well, sometimes we have to review our situation and decide what we are focussing on. I have decided that I am not interested in how much I have paid this year. I can look on my snowball to see.
I have had the back garden sorted on the other house. The painter is finally collecting the key tonight for the inside. Dh is organising a gardening gang (he better) to help flatten the garden on the saturday and I will be back on the Sunday to do more.
If its raining I have painting I can do.

I shall be getting a price for carpet and will be getting DH to start the flooring. Then will be asking for tenants.

Made another 40 pounds on ebay. Thats fine with me. Child support is due by the end of the week. Have more items to list on ebay and will be trying to do a new one every day as well as recycling some old favourites.

I need an emergency fund. Being away with work has meant that I have been impacted not just with the credit card.

    Will keep me sane.

In other news - I should be getting my 1800 back from work. That will come in handy. Christmas and debts!

So things are moving but like many things, its hard work.

  • So sorry to hear about the dog :( xxx

Things are moving at a good pace with the house now then? Hope you can get some tenants in it by November/December that would be a great way to set yourself up for the new year and start an emergency fund too ;)
