Month 27, day 22. Told the husband the new world order last night while sitting on the blue step in the kitchen while he made enchiladas.
He largely doesnt mind and really doesnt spend a lot of money on stuff, the thing which he makes certain of is that we have plenty of food in. As in the past money has been tight and we have had to find the money for food, now we always have a batch cook in reserve and we do have something which isnt veggie or mince at least once a week!
I explained my reasonings and how we could achieve things and gave a timescale for action.
He smiled and nodded. I appreciate he is on board but he also seems to be on "bored" if you know what I mean.
Today I am purchasing some canes for my peas, they are getting somewhat unruly.
Other than that nothing to report!Trying to shift that debt!0 -

I wish I had the capacity to go back and warn my former self of 2 things.
1 would be managing debt. I didnt think it through when I took out debt. I thought joint debtors would have the good grace to pay their share. I was wrong. I wound up on the breadline, 11 years ago, with a local authority home as my ex husband was giving me no peace and losing my job because the in laws also disowned me and I couldnt get childcare at short notice.
2 would be to not get too down about things, as there is alwaysa good side to everything.
Whats happened as a result of everything is I have a good life. We own 2 houses. We are reducing our debt. We have learned valuable lessons and have skills which we didnt have before, batch cooking, manufacturing our own cleaning materials, decluttering, money making, log making. I need to save 2100 in 2 months and ok, I wont be able to overpay my debts in that time, what I will be able to do is generate that money. This would be impossible without the lessons I have learned.
I have had plans plots and schemes along the way and my focus has changed between things occasionally, while remaining fixed on getting rid of debt, but finally now with a real determination I can see the house being an asset rather than a liability and my debt reducing power increasing by over 200 pounds a month.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Month 27, Day 23. A week to month 26!!! 6 days to payday!!
Money making schemes abound!!! DH is assisting my dad in clearing his garage. He is a hoarder therefore I sense the ching ching of many ebay sales. He will just want to clear the space to facilitate more tropical fish breeding (I kid you not hes become a top north east breeder of some kind of fancy catfish) and went from a role as an Operations Manager in industry to managing his own operation at home. This generates an income at auctions and through people calling to the house. Its rather mad, but at the moment his income is more than when he was working. Theres good money in fish! He is developing some rare hybrids or something. I do despair!
Last night I planted out a honeysuckle which I had got in the post. I had prepared and dug out a hole ready to receive the plant when I walked away to get it I returned to find one of my cats using it to have a poo!!!! They then dug and dug until the hole was completely filled in. I was laughing out loud at that point. I redug the hole, removed the stinky poo and put it in the bin and planted the plant.
Other than that nothing much to report. I havent heard about the back pay underpay yet, that will do nicely to help me reach my 2100 goal. I also realised (silly me) that I had added into the 2100 500 for shed and base at home.
This though is probably necessary but will be on the back of the other things. As far as doing the house up for rent is concerned, it wont hurt to have a 500 pound buffer in place ,and it also wont hurt to have a shed to store some things in.
Other than that I am keenly anticipating the loot from dads today!
I have 2 weeks leave starting next week and a few of those days can be spent at home listing ebay!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
