    Hi back!

I love gardening and growing too.
Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam
  • Happy Monday! Hope your week gets off to a great start :D

  • Month 27, day 21. 9 days to month 26. No great (pure) debt headway will be made in the next three months as I am getting the monkey off my back which is costing us 500 pounds a month.

I met with a decorator yesterday. Yeah sure its more mse if me and the hubby do it ourselves, but we are going to get it done in a week for 500 pounds. Yes, we could have saved 500 pounds but we still have other decorating to do (I am doing the back hallway and the bathroom) and also this means a great stride forwards. Am going to change my signature as I am not putting any more pressure on myself with Vanquis and Amex. They are going to go but it might take a little after December. After all, once I have the house sorted I will need to sort Christmas.

I am still waiting of that back pay to be sorted properly, and that will be used for the fund.

After the painting next is flooring and the garden. A couple of small bits of skirting and a fireplace in and bobs your uncle. Some trim in the kitchen and tah dah!

I cant wait. Mind you I will be replacing the fridge freezer and the oven and saving for those out of the emergency fund.

Other than that got some more compost and a bag of manure for the garden. I know how to live.

  • I didnt mention the climbing rose I got for 50p in Bee and queue! It shall be going on the tree with the passionflower and the sun loving honeysuckle . Also my husband kept trying to make me spend money on stuff but my eye is fixed on the prize.

It sticks in my craw a little that I have to purchase compost. I have a compost bin but the stuff in there is only at mulch standard. My brother in law has said I can have their old compost bin so I will see when that can happen and I shall get some compost production lines flowing.

Full of the joys I am, and only this week to work and then I am off on my jollies.

  • On a more serious note, something rather bad happened at the weekend.

DD2 was away on holiday as you know with her dad and his partner.

On Saturday night there was a phone call at 12am ish. A lady who I didnt know had given DD2 her phone to use.

Now DD2 as I often say is no angel, and there are ways to manage a bit of cheek from a teenager. Throwing them out at midnight in a pair of shorts and a thin top with no shoes is not one of them. She could have been in real danger and the lady who she ran into, who let her use her phone to speak to me as I urged her to go back to the campervan was a real guardian angel.

Given this is the second time when she had been ousted and told not to go back in, I am wondering at how they are managing her.

To add insult to injury, her phone was taken from her. I was not told of this, so was majorly concerned at the fact I wasnt getting any texts in reply to my worried messages.

I dont know what I can do and how I should tackle this. I dont think my daughter should be put in a potentially dangerous situation.

  • Oh my goodness SBO that's awful. I would be fuming!! They can't do that to a young girl no matter what her cheek is like .

    That is crazy!!!

When is your daughter home? I'd probably start with a sit-down convo with her, and get her to tell you exactly what happened, non-judgemental, how she feels about what happened, and how she feels about her dad and his partner. It'll maybe give you more of an idea on what steps to take next.

    *Big hugs*

    EDIT:
Crossed posts. Nobody is ever that bad to deserve that!!

  • Honestly shes not bad enough you would want to throw her out with no shoes on.

And then to leave her for over an hour is appalling. She spoke to me for 20 minutes.

She can be testing and infuriating but its not safe.
